Damn, I missed December the 0th deals.

    • +9

I would've been happy with December the 1st; let's not get greedy.

    • +1

Don't worry. Everyone missed that 0th deals, including MSY themselves.

  • Can you please format to make a bullet points list?

    • -3

        • +1

It wasn't even rubbish - he listed a few items on separate lines. Just didn't have then in "bullet point form"

          @ILikeBargenz:

Try reading on a mobile, looked like gibberish. Anyway, I reported it to mods and it has been rectified. Looks much better.

        • @homersimpson:

Ahh yeah fair enough, didn't think about mobile view. I was on a pc.

  • Anyone know if the lightning cables are any good? Can't seem to find any reviews.
Their site lists "Compatibility: iPhone 6 / 6 Plus." But, surely it will be fine with newer iPhones too?

Also interested in the mbeat bluetooth car kit, but the reviews seem mixed. Anyone here had firsthand experience?

MSY has very Good warranty policy…

      • +2

Is that why they keep getting prosecuted?

        • +4

Yes, it's unfair to the competitors. Lol.

  • +1

I think they only have 12 in stock of each item across Australia, if that.

  • How do you do a click & collect order? My only option is AusPost when checking out. Even though availability is "in stock"

    Nylon Certified Lightning Cable

Since when did they start certifying Nylon ???

    • -1

I bet @jv is asking because they're wearing nylons.

  • Any good deals on internal hard drives? They never seem to go on sale

Duuuuuude, I never knew this website existed - THANKS!

  • no bullet points
    no deals for me

  • Such bad customer service… so many times I've been there when they say they have stock on their website or even call up… but once I'm there the item can't be found or is out of stock so they sell me something more expensive. It's not worth my time.

The way to shop MSY is order online for pickup by clicking the big button that says order online for pickup on their homepage. After you order they'll email when they have it ready, usually within 1 working day.

The postcode you choose when you login sets the store location if you have multiple stores that are convenient to go to (can be handy for low stock items).

Then you go into the store and say you have an order for pickup and pay for it.

If you go in on a busy time such as Saturday or weekday evenings you'll probably wait 20 minutes to ask for your order so choose wisely about when to go in if possible.

Or you can simply shop elsewhere.

        • +1

Or you can avoid shopping altogether.

        • @homersimpson:

          Now there’s an idea.

  • +1

Using my phone, the items are nowhere to be found. Clicking the link leads to a very promotion page of different items

  • no such specials for me either, guess ill try in the morning

  • Good luck in the morning: still no active link - just the usual overpriced 'promotions'!

  • Well, Mt Pritchard cleared out quickly…

  • Most expensive mouse pad I’ve ever seen!
    http://www.msy.com.au/nsw/hurstville/pc-accessories/6067-raz…

    • 1.This product is no longer available.

  • Ordered charger click collect this morning that was in stock at Hurstville only to get email now say no stock. No wonder MSY is in trouble with ACCC.

    From their webpage:

False, misleading and deceptive conduct by MSY Technology, MSY Group and MSY NSW

Following legal action by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the Federal Court of Australia declared that MSY Technology Pty Ltd (MSY Technology), MSY Group Pty Ltd (MSY Group) and M.S.Y. Technology (NSW) Pty Ltd (MSY NSW) (together MSY) engaged in conduct that contravened the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

    The Court found that:

    · MSY Technology and MSY Group made false, misleading and deceptive representations about MSY’s terms and conditions on its website; and
    · MSY NSW and MSY Technology made false, misleading and deceptive representations instore and by email communications to certain consumers who purchased faulty computer products from MSY,
which representations were contrary to the consumer guarantee rights provided in the ACL.

    • +1

To be fair, the misrepresentations had nothing to do with having small amounts of stock.

It was being shit with warranties.

I don't think you can say "oh, this place doesn't honour warranties - that means they also don't have enough stock".

At least keep the criticisms sane ;)

  • I placed an order and received the email informing me it is ready for pickup. It says “the item will be reserved for you for two days”. The questions is, will it still be $12 when I pick it up in two days? I selected cash on pick up

  • I ordered, was reserved without payment. Received a second email shortly after advising it was ready to pick up. Went in, no line, was swiftly and politely given my item. I was charged 12c paying via credit card. Disgusting. No wonder why these clowns were investigated by the ACCC.
