Kogan 1200W - CookMaster Kitchen Machine $189 + Delivery / Deluxe Stand Mixer $119 + Free Shipping @ Kogan

20

Seems a good price for multifunction 1200W units. For any other major brands' stand mixer with 1000W or above, sales price will be $400 or above, RRP over $600. Sunbeam had a basic 1000W unit for sale for $99 a while ago. It was sold out almost immediately. However, I'm not sure about quality of Kogan mixer and hope someone would share experiences or a member of "Choice". Comments on Productreview are mixed. Main complains are "beater doesn't fully reach the bottom of bowl" which is a pain but haven't found any feedback of mechanical failure.

Also here is the link of the ordinary mixer

  • If you have a shipster account, you can get free shipping on small items that cost less than $20 to post.

    • Would you call a stand mixer as a small item?.

It's not the size that matters, it's how you ship it.

        • Should be ok any how. Delivery is only $10. Should work with Shipster.

  • Are these mixers actually worth it? Not sure what they can do that an electric eggbeater can't.

    • Hold the eggbeater for you:)

The range of attachments is generally the main draw. KitchenAid and Kenwood in particular have a variety that replace other stand alone appliances (Belnder, Mincer, Food Processor etc.)

You do realize that stating those watts is the same as what it is for speakers, mobile phone cameras, e.g. 20mp yet it is nowhere near that. I bet my kitchenaid mixer can pull more weight even though 3X less powerful.

It's not all in wattage. I see it so many times with other things too. People just take it for granted instead of researching first.

    • Good point. Same as power tools, all specified 18V but performances are vary between brands and models. Again need someone to comment with using experiences.
