Save the offer to your eligible Card and spend $75 or more, in one or more transactions, online or in-store at Myer by 24/12/2017 to receive one $15 credit. Limited to the first 7,500 Cards to save the offer. Exclusions apply.

        Login to your AMEX Essentials account (the one where you see your transactions). Scroll down to offers and you will see the Myer offer if available to you.

          I reckon it's to minimise their transaction fees. I guess per transaction it wouldn't be much, but annually it'd probably make a huge difference.

      Yes they do. I've done it a few times. Also done it with gift card and eftpos split payment. They're like any other big retailers- they don't have too many restrictions when it comes to payment.

      Only time I had trouble with was when I tried to combine two gift-cards into one (I didn't want to carry two gift cards around). Their response was that it's not possible because for that they'd have to buy one gift-card with multiple gift cards - which is not allowed. Easy for me, I bought an item using the two gift cards, then returned it immediately. The guy was impressed with how quick my mind worked. Skills you learn on OzB!

          you should do, as long as gift card purchases are accepted for this offer. T&C says it's not but someone mentioned above that AMEX has no way of tracking what's purchased. So should work.
          Here's another idea - buy two $75 gift cards using two of your AMEXs, if it's for yourself. :)

      If you ask nicely I'm sure they'll split. I'm sure there's plenty of people coming in with near-maxed out credit cards so split payments will not be a foreign concept to Myer!

        Yeah but doing it during Christmas aka busiest time of the year for a department store is another question …

        If you guys are planning to split, please take advantage of extended trading hours and go when it's not busy

          @MathNerd: I'm not sure as I don't work on the floor but I'm sure a manager would be stepping in if someone tried to pay for $5000 of goods with multiple credit cards to ensure that it was a valid and not fradulent transaction, like checking to see that the multiple cards matched valid ID.

    They're really going crazy with these Amex deals. Perhaps it's because they don't want people cancelling their current bank issued Amex cards which will be future Amex card (separate).

    I only just got an AMEX card and I'm not familiar with how these cashback deals work. Can I only get the credit once? For example, if I split a $300 payment into 4 x $75 amounts, I would still only get one $15 credit?

      I bought a $75 gift card last night, and received the email almost immediately. However, upon checking my offers, it looks like the Myer offer is still there to be used, not as "offer redeemed". Did this happen to anyone else?
