  • Need a hotel for 1 or 2 nights in Sydney mid-January, this work locally too?

i can book Hilton in Syd for you with $120 credit/discount for you. (amex offer)

just want to keep my gold member status.

      PM if you are interested.

  • Yes anywhere in the world.

  • how does it work - is it $40 credit after you book?

    • From memory it is paid into your 'nominated' credit card account.

    • Credit on credit card after check out.

  • Awesome, just rebooked a hotel stay in Japan next year and qualified for the reward.

  • It is a refund to your nominated credit card that you use to make the booking. When you complete your stay and pay with your nominated credit card you will receive the cash back.

    About your cash reward
Thanks to Rupert, you'll receive US$0 after your trip. Here are some things you need to know and agree with:

After you’ve checked out, we’ll confirm your stay with the property before paying your reward. This normally takes 2 to 30 days.
I acknowledge that the individual who sent me the referral link used for this booking will be able to view my first name, profile picture and reservation status. By making this reservation you agree to share this data and receive your award. See all referral terms.

No idea why I got this message, luckily I noticed it before committing to a booking.

    • I'm sure it's just a typo, the main page says:

Book now and get US$40 back!
All you have to do is book and you'll get US$40 back after your stay! Minimum booking cost US$200.

      • I think the Promo Offer does NOT stack with CashRewards or affiliate marketing websites.

I tried both searching up my booking with and without using CashRewards. Going through CashReward made the US$40 back offer disappeared, while searching up straight without CR makes me eligible again in my booking.

Definitely won't work. Don't bother with a claim either as they'll reject it.

    • Did you use a referral code? You need to just use the link. I booked a hotel last night, and got my parents to book another one - both worked.

It appears $40 cashback $80 spend is working again:

It's working for me, clear your browser cache and cookies if you have issues.

    • With these Booking.com deal, f you have used it before, then you might not be entitled to use it again. Considering that, and the higher prices of Booking.com it is not worth the gamble to me. Also some have reported not getting the rebates.

  • doh I just booked 2 days ago :(

  • You can always cancel and rebook

    • Unfortunately there is a cancellation fee. Thanks tho. Although interesting price has gone up by about price of discount. Very sneaky. Also apparently lowest price competitor guarantee does not cover themselves so bad luck if they lower price :(

I've returned from holiday 3 months ago, spoke to Booking.com 3 times about not receiving my credit. Still no sign of it in my nominated account!! It's all one BIG SCAM as far as I'm concerned.
I get better service from EXPEDIA!

  • I made a couple of bookings early this year and had the money refunded within a couple of days of my stay.

    • Which promotions did you use?

  • I find Agoda rates cheaper

Why is the OP using a referral affiliate ID? Why not just link to the front page of booking.com?
Why not warn people who are going to use your link that you will get to see their photo and name and booking confirmation?
I don't mind the deal; loath the OP tactics to get referral credits though.

These AID tracking last for a month or so as well. Nice $ spinner, though would prefer people use the referral link banner, its what is for i believe.

    • Incentive links and referral links use a similar URL structure. This one is an incentive link.

I posted this but I have no idea of any refferal links. I can assure you that I am not getting any kickback for this so not sure why someone should profit from my post

  • Last time i used this deal, Cashrewards refused to pay me their 4%. Very disappointing

    • +1

That is good to know. So potentially no cashback (given numerous have not received) plus no cashrewards. Rough.

    • Same, they've specifically put in there now:

Use of any Booking.com refer-a-friend or incentive offers/links will invalidate any cashback and/or any cashback claims, including our cashback guarantee.

      • That's why my booking has a cashreward discount stated. Interesting.

Can I use this deal & also use the $80 deal for a separate booking to get another $40 back??

    • +1

Yes, as long as you haven't used either before. You can use a maximum of 3 incentive deals per year including a referral.

      • Interesting. So I can book 3 more using seperate offers from January without having to create more accounts?

        • +1

It's in the T&Cs on the page:

Booking.com will only recognize one Eligible Reservation per Participant per campaign to count for an Incentive Bonus. Participants may only receive Incentive Bonuses from a maximum of 3 different campaigns per year, including Refer-a-Friend campaigns.

  • I have booked consecutive days one in my name and one in partners name to get better prices before. the hotel refused to let us continue in same room as they claim they had already allocated rooms even though we told them in check in. so we had to check out and re-check in. was a hassle!

  • The banner popped up as I was trying to search, the booking has to be more than $105.74 using todays rates.

    I missed the referral.

  • Does it still work if I pay via bank deposit? The owner of the place I have booked wants to be paid using bank deposit and not credit card.

  • No you have to book using your credit card to get the credit.

  • Can this be stacked with the referral credits?
ie USD 200 after taking into the referral discounts?

Thinking of referring my gf to booking this time so that both gets $30 discounts.

    Anyone any thoughts?
