    Silly question. For many years I've used Logitech uni remotes, but the POS things just don't last long. Will one of these Xiaomis do a similar job?

      Same question - my Harmony One's screen just got smashed, so looking for something like this to replace it (+ smart phone, etc)..

      Do these have the "Watch TV" and "Listen To Music" single command type functions that'll send all the right commands to all the devices to make "Listen to Music" happen?

      I haven't personally used the Xiaomi, but I've had a Broadlink for a year or 2. We've dispensed with all remotes and just do everything via the Android app.

      These are both Chinese products so occasionally the apps will feature poor translations or indecipherable characters (referring to the Broadlink e-control app and the Xiaomi Mi Home app) but for 99% of tasks they can be used easily.

      The Broadlink app allows you to connect the transmitter to your wifi, then select the type of remotes you wish to mimic. Then you just record the functions to the remote individually and off you go. Very simple and straight forward.

    the App doesn't get very good rating on the Apple App Store. Also, is there a list of devices this is compatible with and how does it learn the functions of the remote? I purchased an Intesis home device for 10x this amount just to control my Mitsubishi AC, as I was told it was the only device compatible with my AC …ouch!

    Purchased this in the hope I could turn on the AC when I'm on the way home. I could get it to work with every single device I could throw at it except the air conditioning. It's a Fujitsu less then 6 years old!

    I bought one of these recently on another deal, nightmare to setup then ended up with a app that was totally in Chinese….fine I suppose if you can read Chinese ?

    Any reason you would use this over the RM Mini which is cheaper?

    For what it's worth I have the mini, purchased for around $10 aud. Please note that some devices run on a diff IR frequency and will not work with this since it's the same IR freq as the RM Mini, e.g. foxtel remote and my air con remote. It's a bummer since the main reason I purchased was for aircon

    Also you will need a functional remote for whichever devices you want to use this for (I have a TV which I've lost the remote for and thought I would it a crack with the RM Mini)

    Anyone having issues, the payment gateway won't work if you have an adblocker on. Applying coupons is convoluted and you don't get confirmation of the actual price til just before you pay, but it works fine.

    Just got mine today.

    I like xiaomi products but this product needs a warning that the entire app is in chinese and therefore impossible to install.

    I finally got my tv to work by guessing but the Mitsubishi air con is a no go.

    I think theres better products out there and unfortunately this will probably end up in the bin. Need some proper reviews on this stuff.
