This wasn’t really advertised but I signed onto qantas’ new in flight wifi. If you navigate to the entertainment tab you’re able to get 3 months free Netflix even if you’re already subscribed. There’s also 3 months free Stan. for new subscribers.

      If you have planes flying over your house at an altitude of less than 32 metres (the typical range of WiFi) then you've got bigger problems to worry about than free Netflix.

      Will get harvested / brodened quickly. Someone did this before with Pandora codes. And they'll prob sell it

      You don’t get codes. I think it’ll only allow you to sign into a Netflix account once per wifi session (which requires name + seat number)

      Sydney - Gold Coast starts at $132* for economy one way. If you only want the 3 months Netflix subscription then you're better off just paying the $29.97-$53.97 for the subscription fees.

        Nah - I've frequently connected whilst on the ground, but you need to be on the 'plane itself before you get a decent signal (I assume the body of the plane itself effectively operates like a faraday cage) so hanging around the departure lounge probably won't cut it unless you have a really good antenna….

      I logged onto the wifi. Went to entertainment tab and scrolled down to the Netflix streaming part. Clicked the promo link and it took me to a Netflix page where I logged in and was told $29 credit had been applied to my account.

        Perfect, thankyou. I'm flying this Thursday. Hopefully the A330 I am booked on has wifi :)

        PS. Otherwise I'll strap a router and a portable battery pack to this vest I have and walk around the terminal with a Yagi antenna, pointing it at the planes parked at the Qantas terminal yelling, "Free Netflix!" - or not. :P

          Only a handful of Qantas 737 aircraft currently have inflight WiFi. Inflight WiFi on domestic A330 aircraft will be rolled out next year.

    For those asking about how you get it. You log onto the wifi with your name and seat number. You then navigate to the ‘entertainment’ tab on the homepage. Obviously just useful if you were already flying somewhere.

        yeah, had a flight form SYD-MEL couple days ago, while I connected the WIFI in flight, it shows 3 months free Stan & Netflix. Combine with my AMEX 3 months free stan, I've got half year free online TV already

      I've found with similar codes and Apple billing, you have to cancel the Apple billing, wait for the current Apple billing period to expire, then apply the code via www.netflix.com.au/redeem… once you've used up the code's value then you can switch back to Apple billing for the next billing cycle.
