50% off Hostgator US Hosting for Cyber Monday

30
CYBERMONDAY2010

On Friday for a few hours Hostgator had 50-80% off, but that was limited numbers. They have extended this to Monday (US times) with a 50% off coupon.

This promotion gives new customers hosting for as little as: (Prices US$)

  • Shared Hosting – ONLY $2.48/month
  • Reseller Hosting – ONLY $12.48/month
  • VPS Hosting – ONLY $9.98/month (first month)
  • Dedicated Servers – ONLY $87/month (first month)

You can take hosting packages for up to 3 years using this coupon, however servers are first month only.

This promotion will run Monday November 29th from 12:00AM – 11:59PM CST (-6 GMT), I set the deal to expire Tuesday Australia time though.

Now as I read the negs on the last Hostgator deal: Yes they are US hosting. Yes they have US support. Yes everything about them is US based. Yes there are probably cheaper US hosts. BUT I have used them for over 2 years now, found their service to be very good and their support fast. Any problem I have ever had has been solved via their online chat in minutes.

If anybody is interested their main datacenter is hosted with ThePlanet, so its a Texan IP.

  • Anyone know how hostgator compare with stablehost?

    • I get the impression that most of the big hosts in the US are much the same, probably comes down more to if you like their support and the datacentre they use.

I thought the hostgator offer was good mainly as you could get 3 years worth of hosting for very little… that might seem a long time to put your faith in a company of course, but they have been around for quite a while.

It is however new customers only, forgot to mention that. Shame no reward for loyal customers :(

  • I've been using Hostagtor for a couple of years now. Never had any issues - but I don't have a whole lot of traffic and am on a small plan. That being said, I would recommend them, especially on these deals. I've found with webhosts, even if they don't turn out to be so good, it's so quick/easy to hop around on monthly plans that you can afford to experiment.

    • I get about 1800 unique visitors a day on my shared hosting with hostgator and dont even dent the server usage graphs. They will migrate you to VPS or dedi if needed in the future.
