Cue in someone saying the following:
    1. The points are valued at about 1c per QFF point
    2. Someone says how do you even sell that
    3. We reply PM Tevs on OzB
    4. A mention is made about how overpriced the Qantas items are even after discounts (generally true though)
    5. We end up going off on a tangent talking about what is a bargain (with some useful links to the Qantas sale site) and whether it is better to just use the points for upgrades
    Merry Christmas guys! :-)

I would like to make a few points:

      1. The points are valued at about 1c per QFF point
      2. how do you even sell that?
      3. reply PM Tevs on OzB
      4. the Qantas items are overpriced even after discounts
      5. what is a bargain? and it is better to just use the points for upgrades

Saved everyone from having to comment!

      Merry Christmas guys!

Oops. Sorry Tuvz. Was too early in the morning for me.
FYI I can personally vouch for Tuvz and have enjoyed a number of mutually beneficial transactions with him.

        • @danielh:

          No worries!

Really appreciate the shout out :)

I wonder if there’s a great deal on a Mac Pro? (Still sore. Too soon)

  • I just want 25% off gift cards

edit: there's extra $20 gift card for every $200 you get from Myer.. so 10%.. meh

Seriously don't even bother. Ordered an Iphone for a Christmas present on 27th November with their 25% off sale with expected delivery of the 8th December. Still waiting. They have known issues supplying anything from Apple and knew before the sale even commenced. They are still advertising available with a 7 day dispatch. Here I am with nothing for my daughter for Christmas and with not enough time now to organise getting one from elsewhere. Was promised we would have it for Christmas. Rudest call centre staff with zero care factor. Asked for equivalent vouchers to be able to purchase elsewhere and they won't do anything.

Yeah ok they didn't meet their obligations. But, you're still buying an iPhone for your daughter. Using near-valueless points to do it too! Life must be hard.

And of course they aren't going to give you vouchers. That's not realistic! A point refund, sure.
