Apart from the fact that their fuel is consistently 4c more expensive than everywhere else, this isn't too shabby of a deal if you were good refuel there anyway.

    • Depends on area. Coles was cheapest petrol in my area when I posted in a previous deal.

4c more expensive than everywhere else

More like 24c in my area.

    • doesn't matter too much. 30 litres at 4 cents is $1.20 more.

10,000 flybuys get you a $50 voucher if you use it at coles, so this is worth $5 technically… it's a decent deal and you wont have the lines of caltex woolies etc for hours on end as no one will be at the coles! winning!

combine with current $5 back off $10 spend with android pay for amex, winning!

  • You have been specifically selected for this offer and it is not transferable.

    Congratulations!

    • Are you going to the party?

  • Got this offer but need to purchase 2 Platinum Combi Car Washes at a specific store…

    • Where are these Platinum Combi washes? The ones I’ve seen are called Wash Max and they are 2 for $20 not the 2 for $30 specified in the terms.

      • on my email states "at Shell Coles Express Waterloo"

        • Thanks, I went back to the email and it does say a specific outlet. Though when I went there, they didn't have a 2 for $30 car wash, only 2 for $20. I'll give it a go anyway.

        • @bikuta:even better, you've got a deal!

  • Nice to make this offer while prices have gone up for Xmas.

  • Or…I could use Woolworths with 4 cents off for spending $30 plus on shopping at Woolworths and use an egiftcard to pay for it which saves an extra 5% bringing the price down from 144.9 to 140.9 then 133.9. 30 litres would cost $40.16. Spending $5 on milk (or other in store items if cheap) saves an extra $1.20.

At Coles fuel currently costs 148.9 per litre times 30 litres less $5 in points would cost $39.67. It's cheaper but is it worth it? An in-store spend of $20 is required to save 10c/litre extra on fuel but I've never found anything worth buying.

Or…I could use the 7-11 App with location spoofing and pay 124.9 per litre then 30 litres would cost $37.47 but it's 7-11 and the slurpee's are lovely which makes me spend an extra $1.

I wish it was so much easier to compare…

    • You included the 4c/L discount for $30 spend, but did not reduce the Coles price by 4c/L for same value offer!

      • That's because I don't shop at Coles and if I did it would cost 10% more.

If I spend $28.50 on a $30 egiftcard I can get $30 worth of groceries at Woolworths.

I can't do that at Coles. Coles seems be about 5% more expensive than Woolworths overall so it tends to cost about $31.50 to get what I would have got for $28.50 at Woolworths….i.e 10% more.

I currently have $10 off $40 spend at Woolworths Rewards and $5 off $50 spends at Coles on Flybuys.

        • You also forgot Coles Express discount offer for purchase with Petrol (not as attractive). If you are making a comparison, make it fair.

I buy 5% discount Coles eGift cards. So have discount eGift Cards for both.

Coles offer on 30L is equivalent to 16.7c/L discount, or 20.7c/L with receipt for $30 purchase.

I shop wherever I get best offers - so have Coles & Woolies fuel offers. Have So much credit with both chains.

        • @Infidel:

Where do you get discounted Coles egift cards from? I've not found them.

        • @mysterytal:
I have free membership to Blatchys that still works for 4.5% but now use family member's half price RACQ membership for 5% off. Both have been listed as deals.

I like to have a choice in where I shop. Local Coles & Woolies are side by side. Prefer Woolies, but mainly shop on specials & points offers. Haven't noticed any price difference on what I buy at normal prices. Each have their advantages for me.

Bought 6 bananas (average 50c ea) on 5+% discount eGift Card with 6 Rewards cards & received $60 credit on Sunday at Woolies. Coles can't match that. (2 cards already with 200 pts received 1800pts, the others had fewer points but lots of $, so each were each topped up by 2000 points)

        • @mysterytal: AGL energy rewards gives you Coles egift cards at 5% off

    • Does location spoofing still work? How?

      • 7-11 staff refused my location spoofing much cheaper interstate price a while ago😞 They knew local prices weren't that cheap in a long time. Most staff wouldn't notice.

Use a phoney GPS app to set your location, use 7-11 app to check prices on area, move location & check until find cheapest. Lock that price in. But haven't tried for ages & just tried - couldn't get it to accept fake GPS location.

        • +1

I have read at several places that it doesn't work any more. A few posts on this forum itself.

        • @virhlpool:
I think so - using fake GPS, 7-11 app showed could not access location.

    ARGH just refueled yesterday

    • You don't check OzBargain before making a purchase? Shame on you😀

Bought 30L on Wednesday with previous 1000pt offer & 4c/L off docket.
