  • nice work EC

  • Ta, was looking at this when it was base $199. There's a few 'sold as a special offer" results in its history. Would those be people knocking 5%-10% off with the make me an offer button?

  • well done, i bought it few months ago and was $159, very good deal indeed.

    • Presumably it should be a good one?

      • +1

so far very happy with it, i am not a heavy user. just happy to see application load time and boot time reduced drastically.

  • Eagerly waiting for a good deal on 4G tablet, thanks :)

  • +6

Really looking for a 1TB SSD. If you can muster up $236 for the samsung (as per the recent 20 + 10% deal) or some other brand that would be great.

    • +1

      wasn't that $326?

      • +1

You're right it was. I think my fingers were just typing what they wanted.

$326 I'm perfectly happy to pay for the Samsung. If somebody can round up some Sandisk Ultra II's for less that would also be great.

  • Has this got that wizard software like Samsung where you can transfer everything + OS easy? Got in cart ready to pull trigger..

    • Clonezilla will do that (google for it)

      • +1

Thanks for that bdl, much appreciated

        • +1

          Any time!

    • +1

Yeah, because porn is the only thing stored on hard drives…

If someone got me a SSD that was 500GB or above I'd be really pleased (even more so if it was an m.2)!

    • Just because you've never heard of it doesn't mean it can't be or isn't done.

    • I would be stoked if someone gave me a 4+ TB HDD for Xmas.

  • +2

That's how you would know if they are from OzBargain

    • Xiaomi products are the new eneloops

  • +1

PCbyte always increase the price then got 20% eBay off. I don't think it will have very nice deal, only about 5% off compare with other seller.

  • +2

"Lucky Chinese Number Hard drive" lol! Lucky it's not a 4tb

    • +1

I once saw a number plate in traffic '444bed' had to laugh. Doubt they'd want that one for the car

  • @easternculture

You cannot just modify the title every hour for each new item that is placed on sale, as that would misrepresent the votes (i.e. people usually vote for what's in the title).

    • -1

So should I do a new post every hour

      • You can post a new deal but only if the last one is expired, which it isn't. Otherwise your posts must be combined.

I suggest simply adding whatever's new into the description, and tagging the products correctly. This deal is already front page anyway.

        • -1

How about if I edit the title to

          pc byte hourly deals e.g.Transcend SSD220S 480GB SSD 550MB/s $149.60 Delivered + More @ PC Byte eBay

          Is that ok

        • @easternculture:

          PC Byte hourly deals

I believe that's fine. So long as the Transcend $149.60 stays in there along with the shops' name as that is what the majority of the voting was for.

  • +5

Almost pull the trigger but this SSD seems to suffer a lot hence the price
    https://www.kitguru.net/components/ssd-drives/simon-crisp/tr…

    Cons
Disappointing 4K IOPS performance, particularly writes.
Very low real-life write performance figures.

  • thanks went for the external hdd

  • +1

Come on amazing micro SD price for 200/256GB. Switch is getting full.

    • +2

      there will be one soon

      stay tuned

    • +2

LOL at 10 year warranty… the fine print at the bottom of the listing
Warranty not valid when used in dashcam, CCTV, surveillance camera and other write-intensive devices.

AKA warranty not valid if we think you will actually use the product

  • EDIT combined them all into one, I see

  • +1

    Samsung SSD please?

  • +1

What exactly is a mechanical mouse lol

    • For a moment I thought they might have gone back to the 'ole ball and rollers. But apparently it's just the button switches. eh

  • need a cheap 128 or 256gb ssd

    • +1

Under the powerup deal there are Kingston, Sandisk, crucial 256gb ssd all at $111 (139. - 20%)

Wondering which is best, but seems worth spending $38 more for this one

      • it is, im looking at something around the $50-75 range

        • Wha.
          I guess you’ll get a 120 for around 79 using the code.

        • @Hoju: who would pay $79 for a 120Gb when you could pay 99 for a 240?

        • @Jackson:
Comment was made before the 99 deal was posted.

  • +1

What time are you planning on keeping this going to?

  • +1

    Any luck sale on 1080ti?

  • +1

Any deals on 4TB WD 3.5 internal HDDs? Feel free to make it as good as the Kogan offer ;-)

  • +3

Any deal for AMD RX580 8gb or Vega? or 1080Ti 11gb?

  • +2

    Samsung Evo Plus U3 256gb Micro SD $100 ~ $110 perfect :)

  • Waiting for something good at 8pm…..

  • I keep comparing every sd card deal to the 200gb sandisk one I missed for $70.
Are these a lot better in quality and speed for the large price difference for somewhat small storage gain?

    • +1

Not an expert but read and write is 100/90mb for this one. 200gb deal only have 90mb/15mb.

So this one is more ideal for 4k recording.

I could be wrong.. others will correct me for sure.

      • Thanks. Can't download at 15MB a second anyway so the cheaper one will probably be alright.

    • I missed that deal too cause used my code up. Thats why I'm holding out for the exact card he posted just now which imo is better than the sandisk. But $130 isn't enough to pull the trigger personally.

  • +2

I'll be posting up 1 New Deal EVERY HOUR.

    Until ?

    • +1

      2 more deals

      • Great Work, Cheers !!

      • +1

Any chance you can just let us all know what they are?

I get the suspense and all, but my little ones are killing me with 4am wake ups….

  • +1

How do i tell pc byte to pick the item up tomorrow from auburn store?

    • -1

They are not open till Wednesday. Just picked up my laptop today was happy with their service.

      • That'll b late for xmas then. I thought they open tomorrow.

  • great price for the K65. I have the K75 but the K65 TKL be better for gaming, positioning wise

  • Please correct me if im wrong but its only 9:25pm sydney time and the deal for k65 already finished? Did it start at 9pm or finish at 9pm?

Edit: just ignore me, i reloaded for 5min and the price is back to $109

    • +1

You get that price after applying the code POWERUP.

    • It still ok for me. Did u apply the code?

      • +1

Just got it for $109.60 with POWERUP.
The initial price was $199 when I post the 1st comment. After a good 5min reloading, it went down to $137

  • Transcend SSD220S 480GB SSD

I just got some money for Christmas which I plan to use to buy a SSD and saw this come up. I've had no chance to do any research.

Is this an OMG just get it deal or would I be OK to look into things and something similar will come up in the next 2-3 months??

    Thanks in advance.

    • +1

You get what you pay for so I in no rush wait.

  • I have one of those Plantronics backbeat go 2. Use it nearly everyday for work commute and it's great. Just don't like the battery life (4hrs) and maybe the ergonomic for the buds can be big for some people.

But at this price it's really a good deal.

  • Any upcoming deals on 1TB SSD?.

    Thanks OP

  • When will these deals end? And will this continue through the early morning?

  • Would it be possible to add the times with whatever timezone it's originating in??

    • Its 11pm now.

  • Two SSD deals here thanks!

Does anyone have any thoughts on which is best to use as an external OS drive?

I assume they’re both the same speed, and will have a 1TB internal drive

Planning to plug into USB 3.0 via UASP sata to USB setup

  • +1

So Amazon AU….are you watching these deals ;)

  • Bought one of the first deal, thanks OP!

  • I work as a professional photographer and had at one point purchased Transcend SD and CF cards. When I do paid work I always shoot on 2 cards, one is a backup, which has saved me because 2 Transcend and 1 CF cards have died with precious material on them. I will never rely on Transcend to store any valuable data on it

    • Not sure why you got negged, Transcend cards are shit from my experience

  • Thanks EC
    Bought the Sandisk SSD
Couldn’t pass it up at that price, and I imagine I’ll appreciate the reliability more than the size of the transcend.

  • -4

watch out for pc byte. company is scum and ignore customers. bought a 1080ti that was opened and they did replace it and offer to pay return postage but i did as was weekend and dident want to wait for them to send returned paid postage to me but they offered to refund shipping pice to me as was there fault. have been contacting them ever sice and everything has been ignored. typical Chinese owned company that couldent care less about Australian consumer laws and treats customers like peasants. shop elsware if you want customer service. scum company

    • +5

Wait. They made a mistake, did everything appropriate to rectify that including replacing it and offered to pay return postage. Yes it was an inconvenience but they did all the right things to make amends.

Given the post you just made I can only imagine the kind of messages they might have been getting from you, it seems unsurprising if they started to ignore them.

      • I had to read over it twice, but I wouldn't be so judgemental about his situation. It sounds like he couldn't afford to wait for PC Byte to send him their own return satchel, so he proceeded to simply send it back himself. Considering that PC Byte sent him a return that would have been marked as brand new, the least they could have done was refund the postage costs considering the difference would have only been a few dollars…

  • Great deal on Transcend SSD. Thanks @easternculture!

  • Anyone know if they're open over the break? Havent had a shipping notification for SSD bought on 23rd, and a few sellers (quite reasonably) seem to shut down 25-1st period.

    • Edit posted yesterday evening and received today via couriers please. Hope it works!
