  • Edit : Saw in the description…
"The tickets do not expire, so you can save them for a rainy day, or give them to friends as Christmas presents"

So it will be valid for a week from the date of first use

  • Bull crap. MyTrain1 tickets CANNOT be prepaid (unlike MyBus1 TravelTen) — their validity commences the minute it is paid for.

I am thinking this is a scam.

    • It also says you have to insert the card after you board?

"But, who wants to be fumbling for change when you can just hop on, ‘dip’ your card, and get the best seat!"

      • Insert the card after you board? Sounds more like a bus to me rather than a train.

As I mentioned, codswallop of a deal.

  • On its side, it says

    • Tickets do not expire
    • TICKETS WILL BE SUPPLIED BY MAIL WITHIN TEN BUSINESS DAYS
  • The interesting thing is though you can't buy weekly tickets from Cityrail online (only monthly, quaterly or yearly) plus weekly tickets entitle you to travel between 2 selected stations. Do you need to specify which stations when buying this? Otherwise you'll have trouble going through gates or if a ticket inspector checks you ticket.

    • I'm negging for lack of transparency and detail!

  • Wow!

I did see a similar deal posted on the same website last week for Bus Tickets. And the tickets were sold out within a short time.

I havent bought any stuff from these guys.. So im not sure…

About the validity of tickets, I can buy monthly/quarterly tickets online that have a future start date.
    NOT weekly though

  • just a visit to official website gives info abt mytrain1 - http://www.myzone.nsw.gov.au/mytrain.html

    "+" for me

  • Just a quick note that Jigocity don't appear to be using HTTPS for secure transactions at the moment (30/11/2010)

Have started a forum post, and will await their update.:

Postal address was supplied as part of ordering process, I do not understand why they are asking for it again.

Would the rep care to comment on this?

    • Where is the ticket's origin and destination??

      That's my question.

Do they just use your postal address (e.g. Strathfield) and set a fixed destination within some 5 km fixed radius (Ashfield?)

In that case it's fairly useless — most people who use trains travel more than 5 km.
