Samsung Galaxy S7 32GB $548 Black Only @ Officeworks

240

Came across this deal from a mate who is looking to get a S7 on Boxing Day.

The original promotional price is $588 (still visible at the website's frontpage's slider). But, looks like its price has been updated ($548 now) to beat other retailers (JB Hi-Fi & Harvey Norman etc). A win for consumers, yay!

Also, it's marked as 'Available' in 3 out of 5 Melbourne CBD stores at the time of posting. So your mileage may vary. Do act fast! Might consider 'Click & Collect' to secure the deal :)

This is part of Boxing Day Sales for 2017

i'd say it is a reasonable price tag for the s7 at this time point. maybe price matched at jb and use 15% off gift card or use amex deal at HN knock the price down further.

  • This seems like the best deal for the S7, I was going to get this at Harvey Norman otherwise ($578).

Another deal posted was the S8 for $710 through amaysim eBay, but I don't like making big purchases online, plus there's a months shipping. Do you think the S7 is fine at this price point in comparison?

    • This is a great deal for the S7. You get a 2 year local warranty too.

As an owner of an S7 who had to use warranty I was glad to have it local. Walked in, dropped it off and it was fixed within 45 minutes at a local Samsung service centre.

      • what broke on it?

        • The camera module was faulty. Repair swapped it out for a new one.

  • Wish S7 Edge was at this price point.. Would have made my Boxing Day.

Personally speaking as an owner if the S7 Edge I would gladly take the S7. The Edge is mostly useless and inconvenient when your palm touches it. It does look cool but functionally useless to me. The S8 has done away with the Edge altogether.

      • No they have not. Both the S8 and S8+ have edge functionality. You have no choice between edge or no edge anymore that's why they dropped the name. You can switch off the feature. But both phones come with a curved side now. The S7 however was flat.

        • I didn't mean the Edge software, but the S8 I have used did not have anywhere near the pronounced curve my S7 Edge has. Reviews say the same:

"The curved edges of the Infinity Display on the S8 and S8+ are not as pronounced as the S7 Edge but closer to what we saw on the Note7."

Point taken that there is still some edge to it though and it hasn't disappeared altogether.

Same price at good guys plus you get 10% back as store credit. that's over $50 back.

So effectively $493.20 at good guys..

    • What do you need to say to get it back as store credit I couldn't see anything online.

      • i don't think you have to do anything, i read all the terms and conditions and this phone is eligible for the promotion, just buy it is all I did. has to be click and collect..

i asked about it instore and they said you'll get an email with the credit i think 9th january

        • Which promotion when I rang my local store they had no idea what I was talking about and sadly nor did I haha.

        • @TrafalgarSean:
Well its plastered on almost every page of thegoodguys site unless they changed it from earlier today

  • Stock is low/out at alot of Officeworks Stores and JB Stores (for matching). Harvey Norman seems to have reasonable stock and will match Officeworks @ $548
