$167 is alot below staff pricing on these bad boys, get two and play in stereo!!

    • even cheaper than Harvey Norman with the $100 cash back

  • Does anybody know if jb will pricematch amazon?

    • I haven’t had any experience with it, but you could give it a shot. I don’t see why they wouldn’t!

    • I tried to price match Call of Duty on PS4 at JB with Amazon and the guy lost it at me.
"If I sold it to you at that price I'd be losing money". Had to tell him I was just enquiring and to not stress and then walked out.

      • +1

^ Should have whipped out your phone and bought it in front of him. Also maybe some chill pills as well.

      • same here. They didnt price match the ps4 pro for me. Bought from amazon instead.

    • +1

I highly doubt it, worth a shot but its not a bricks and mortar store..

    • For those interested - the answer from JB in Greensborough (vic) was a solid no.

      Twas worth a crack!

  • Are these compatible with google home

    • -1

That’s coming in 2018 apparently, and you can get it working now: https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4251/~/go…

      • +5

Sonos One and Sonos PLAY:1 are not the same product.

The PLAY:1 lacks line in and will never get the Google Assistant integration, so the answer is “no”.

        • Ahh… good pick up. Sorry about misleading info.

        • @ihavecentsnotsense:

          No worries

          Won't be buying it then

        • All sonos range will work with Google home for automation, same as they do now with Alexa. You just need a google mini to tell the sonos to play the music, unlike the ONE that has the mic builtin

        • @asa79: Alexa works on all Sonos players as they integrated with the Sonos API.

Google does not. If it’s not a native Google Home compatible speaker, or something with a line in that you can route via a Chromecast Audio etc, it won’t work.

Also, Sonos claim that Alexa only works in the US, UK, Germany and Austria.

    This is old one though…

    • +1

I personally don't care for Alexa, in fact if it were the same price I'd rather not have it.

    • +1

Apparently the new one is exactly the same, just has alexa built in, but you can still control the old one with an echo, so really no difference if you're only concerned about audio.

Does anyone know where you can buy cheap ceiling mounts for these speakers? I can only find ones which cost the same as the actual speakers

    • Still the same components

  • Are there any Bluetooth speakers that are comparable to Sonos? I really dislike the idea of having to use their app and not having Bluetooth or a line in.

    • They only do wifi for better range and soundquality, the app is very easy to use too !

    • -1

Sonos speakers are more comparable to anything bose quality of bluetooth speakers.

You still need to use an app on your phone to use bluetooth?

      • No, with bluetooth you just connect the speaker and all the sound from the phone/pc/whatever will output to the speaker.

  • +1

Shows delivery charge…even though I selected free delivery.

    Also can only order 1

Does the nab deal allow for multiple transactions?

  • It would appear as you can only buy 1 unit only…please correct me if I am wrong.

    • Looks like you can buy one of each colour though.

      • +1

LOL - I just toyed with that option before I saw your reply. That way I could tell my right from my left!

  • Love these speakers as surrounds with the playbar and sub!

  • I bought a Play:1 a while back from an OzBargain link and paid $200 shipped,so this is a cracking deal.As someone noted, buy two to fill a room with good stereo sound.

  • Bought white and black.
    Only want white.
    Anyone want to swap?

Someone explain to me the shipping charge…very un-amazonian

    • Damn, for only you were in Melbourne. After a swap for black.

      • That can be arranged.
        Units arrive next week.
Will swap black for white if unopened and sealed.

    • +1

Just bought a black and a white. Only need the black so happy to swap my white for your black. Located in Sydney

      • I am in Sydney and want to swap a black one too.

        • Deal? Just PM your location and we can sort something out

  • I just created an account for my wife. Just so we could order matching Play 1's!!

By the way. Sonos customer service is amazing.
Had a unit in the box for 1 year stashed away for when we move to our mansion when construction finished.
Unpacked the unit and didn't work.
They simply sent me a replacement unit without any questions asked. Amazing.

    • Did you have to pay the shipping for the replacement and sending the other one back ?

  • Change shipping method for delivery in January for free shipping. about $1 per day for waiting.

    • I did. Still shows a charge at the top.

How does this compare to the Bose Soundlink Mini II?

  • +1

I wonder if you have AMEX by NAB that you will get combo deal 10% from Amex and 10% from NAB itself ?? :)

  • Are people buying this or waiting for Sonos One?

  • To resolve this for you, I checked the details of your order and see that the total Amount that you have been charged for the item is AU $185.99 , which is the Deal Price you have placed the order .

The shipping charges applied has been deducted in the promotion applied to the Order.

Hence, I can assure that there are no Shipping charges applied for the order.

awesome deal - i could only buy one so had to set up two accounts

  • Does this speak simulate 360 stereo like the Samsung one? I’m wondering if one speaker is Enough as I can only afford one

  • Newbie question:

Is it worth the hassle installing this as surround speakers? Even though it is wireless, you still need to run power to it, so if you want to ceil mount them…you probably can't DIY.

What is the benefit of installing these as opposed to a wired one and use the wireless functions of the receiver itself?

    Thanks

  • How does this compare to the Bose Soundlink Mini II?

  • 99% claimed 4 hours to go

  • Damn. All gone :(

    • i just got them.

      • Thats very odd - when I posted both white and black had gone and I kept checking all evening after that

  • Grabbed one. Thanks OP!

  • How devastating, just bought two of these for my parents. Even with my $100 cash back from AMEX at HN they came to about $180 each.

  • Finally just got 2 under two account (white)

  • +3

FYI : I used this deal at JB HI FI to get a price match and now have a shiny new white Play 1 to add to our existing Sonos setup.

Seems like the price match tho was at a managers discretion.. and the deal at that time was still live.

Just received mine this morning. Glad I didn’t pay for postage… the free option was lightning fast.

    • How does it sound?

      • +2

I’ve already got two others, they’re fantastic!
