Just to clarify these are not inverters is that correct?

    • Hi bonjovi,
You're correct they are standard split systems.
If there are any further questions I can assist you with you can contact us at [email protected] too!

      • +4

        Asta la vista baby.

      • +7

I didn't know they even made non-inverter models any more.

The power usage of these would be substantially higher than an equivalent powered name brand unit.

The cheap price may well be a false economy over the lifetime of an air conditioning unit, especially considering the short warranty period.

These units may be a reasonable investment if you're planning to sell your house in the near future, and the current air con is dying, or non-existent.

  • Any suggestions for good installation service?

    • We can recommend some around the Brisbane area and Sydney if that's where you're looking for. Just pm this account or email [email protected]

All major aircon brands offer 5 year warranty…

    • Hi,
We aim to offer the lowest possible prices to customers and therefore have reduced the warranty down from 5 years to 2. We will however happily provide you with a 5 year warranty for a small fee if you contact us at [email protected]
Thank you for your interest in our products!

  • The 2.5kW link takes me to your washing machine. Can you please change it to the correct product? Thanks.

    • +2

It's a combo unit, aircon and dryer in one.

      • Ahaha unfortunately not. The link should be fixed now, sorry.

      • Can you recommend any good installers for the combo unit? :p

        • +1

It would be a tight fit so I'd highly recommend Tightarse.

        • @Scab:
Make sure it is installed in the proper place.

Don't you need a license to install an AC?

  • Yes all installations must be carried out by a licensed installer; the point we wish to make is that the cost of installation should be reduced in comparison to some competitors.
Thank you for raising this point!
    @lostn

    • If they're dodgy (and chances are they are) they won't reduce the cost if it's easier to install. They might charge the same or pretend it's difficult to install.

      • We have a couple guys in Queensland and one in Sydney we would recommend if you contacted us, apart from that we can only try our best to find someone reputable.

  • Can you cool two rooms next to each other, with one external unit and two indoor units?

This is for a bedroom and a home office.
I would only want to cool one of the rooms at anytime.

    • They are called multi split aircons.

    • Can't help you there sorry. We sell all aircons as a package with an indoor and outdoor unit. In my biased opinion I would just buy two aircons :).

These may be cheap, but when you add in the extra running costs compared to a 5.5/6 energy star rated inverter system, I would question the value of the initial savings.

    • +1

Add to that the short warranty…
Given the high cost of (re)installation, I would go with something more reliable.

      • Hi make it so,
We just found that some consumers prefer say a $50 saving over say a 5 year warranty; however for anyone concerned with the warranty if you contact us we can provide one.
As to running costs if you regularly use you're aircon it would be better to go for a higher star rating, but if it's just for those couple hot/ cold weeks we provide an economical solution, which should last beyond the 5 years if it's not used non-stop throughout the year.
        Thank you.
        Astivita

        • Fair enough about the cost of warranty, but I would be more concerned about the cost of having to install a whole new device.

You are a new company, and all companies have to start somewhere. But to make people feel comfortable about the risk of investing close to $1000 (including installation) with a newcomer, you should explain more about your business. What makes your product good? How do your build quality, your materials, and your QA stack up? Is it only the price that makes you stand out?

          @Make it so:

Thank you, I think you make a very good point which we should expand upon. We've been around since 2007 so I hope that inspires confidence in the fact that we will honour all warranties. All our products are bought from large manufacturers that produce the same for many of the larger brands you're familiar with. Our difference is really that due to our small fixed costs - no chain of retail stores- we are able to survive on much smaller margins than competitors. As a result we spend next to nothing on advertising and rely on sites like oz bargain to really get our products out there. It does take someone wiling to forgo a large brand to purchase our products but we are here for the long haul - hence we are listed on the asx- and not here to sell you some cheap gear and then disappear.
We hope products like our aircons help you to see us as a value for money, quality brand.
Thank you again for bringing this up.

@Astivita: okay, so an online only model, like Xiaomi. Sounds good.

  • is this reverse cycle ?

    • Yes they are!

Not wanting to rain on your parade, but purchased the superior Mitsubishi Heavy Ind.s new generation AVANTI R32 gas A/C from Bunnings, and used the less 10% price beat

FANTASTIC units, very very quiet, smooth and cool fast.

They are currently offering cashback, as well as online scam scratch/win money offer

Just pay the extra, a case of "you get what you pay for"

    • +3

      Link?

    • I've also been looking at that 8.0kw Mitsubishi A/C that Bunnings sells, may I ask who you price matched Bunnings with - saving 10% off the price would be nice!

      • I googled the model i was after, found the very best price, printed it and took it to Bunnings, they phoned, confirmed and gave me less 10%
