    I have the 2nd gen. The mop is okay (its basically a wet cloth + tank). All my carpet rooms are behind doors, so I just close the doors when I have the mop attachment on - not sure how it would work if you can't block off those rooms. It also has the 'go' feature, where you can tell it the area to clean on the app, so thats pretty good. I think its also quieter and has a bigger storage bin. Overall, unless you want those features, the 1st gen is probably better value for money. But if you want the new shiny one, the 2nd gen is fun.

      can you use this without the mop? Basically i have a full carpet house and want to use it for better suction vs 1st gen. I dont need the mop at all

        Yes, you can, just don’t install the water/mop attachment.
