    yeah - apparently you have to get the right mix of mobo and silicon lottery to get the 4ghz… but still… it's a freaking monster of a chip. I'm going to get the 1600 I think.

      I went all out with my Ryzen builds motherboard, got the Asus Hero.. With watercooling I couldn't get 3.9 stable even at 1.4v which was pulling around 120w just for the cpu haha that was my limit with the cpu. oh well, 3.8 is good with stock voltage, especially for the price. Comparable to my 4.8ghz 3770k if my memory serves me right

      i got sharfted with my 1700x with a MAELSTROM 240T dual fan radiator and using an Fatal1ty X370 Gaming X motherboard.
      
      i cant even get stable at 3.8 with 1.389 voltage.
      
      i'm just running default clocks.
