I missed out on Amazon's Lightning Deal Yesterday ($102.50 Delivered). Then I found this on eBay today and bought one.

I owned two Charge HRs before and they helped me a lot to stay motivated during a "Get in Shape" period. Both served well for 5-6 months and then stopped working. This is a new line of product, so I am giving Fitbit another chance. This time I am keeping the receipts, though.

    For your 5-6 month old ones - contact Fitbit support, they've replaced my trackers in the past no questions asked

        Yes Fitbit are amazing! I bought a second hand Fitbit blaze from cash converters. It stopped working after 14 months. I was so surprised they replaced it!

          Except if you purchase the very expensive Fitbit Aria scales from eBay that has a common fault that bricks itself when you change wifi networks they won't replace it even in the warranty period as it's not from an "authorized dealer"

          Scumbag company, their support solution is for you to purchase the Aria 2.

      :( I think I threw them away. By the time they were dead, the rubber part in the band started peeling off and looked really worn off. I wore them all the time (not in the shower though).
      Addicted to earning badges and comparing step counts with friends from those weekly emails, I lost good 6kg or so during the time they Served. So, I felt I got the use out of though.

      PS: Now I am back to the old weight :P

    Just wondering why would someone buy this over smart watch? Yes price is one reason but this is still not that not good looking.

      Which one do you suggest?
      Apple Watch is not that stylish, I think. Samsung / Garmin ones don't have the Sleep / Meditation monitoring features.

        My Samsung Gear S2 monitors my sleep.
        Quite cool how it shows all this info about how I slept when I get up.

        Samsung Gear fit 2: sleep/heart rate monitoring, built in GPS,Play Music, Wifi, Touch screen, Count squat, pull up etc. Short answer SMS. Much better display than Garmin.

      I thought this is a smart watch. Smart enough for me though! Like OP said if it can get me 1/2 in shape where i am now I would be happy as Larry!. looks I get it is a personal choice.

      I wondered about this myself when I was seriously considering an Apple Watch. In the end I bought the Fitbit Charge 2 because:
      * 5 day battery life vs 2 days
      * Sleep monitoring (wear it while sleeping instead of charging it overnight)
      * Constant heart rate monitoring, whereas Apple Watch does it every 10 mins outside of workouts
      * Cheaper, less stress on wallet and don't feel so bad if I scratch it
      * App is quite good (I admit I'm bias here as I've had an original Charge for 2 years)
      * Lean, physically and software-wise, meaning it's lighter and simpler to use

    Thanks op bought 1 I don't like being distracted by too many colours like the Samsung looks too gimmicky plain and simple is more classic.

    Got 1. Thanks for sharing. I compared Charge 2 and Alta HR. Both are almost similar in function but Charge 2 has some more features like Breathing assistance, etc.
