Two chargers on sale. The first features 1 USB port with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and VoltIQ fast charging, while the other has a USB Type-C port with 5V/3a fast charging. The second car charger has 2 USB ports with VoltIQ fast charging that can achieve up to 5V/2.4a simultaneously in each port.

What makes these better than generic chargers is their smart fast charging technologies and protection against overcharging/short circuiting. Generic chargers are often limited to 0.5a-3.1a across all ports simultaneously and lack the protection to keep your electronics safe.

What is Quick Charge 3.0 and VoltIQ?

Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology is 4x faster than conventional charging and up to 40% quicker than Quick Charge 2.0. It typically charges a compatible device from 0% to 80% in 35 minutes. It achieves this by increasing the voltage from 3.6V to 20V with 200mV increments. This technology is backwards compatible with Quick Charge 2.0 (& Samsung AFC) which is capable of charging a 3500mAh battery from 0% to 60% in 30 minutes.

VoltIQ is suitable for devices not using QC/Type-C (iPhone, iPad, Raspberry Pi etc.) as it will charge much quicker than conventional charging up to 5V/2.4A in each port simultaneously.

  • I have trouble getting usb car charger for ipad mini. Is this the one that works for ipad mini? Thanks

    • The Tronsmart C24 VoltIQ charger would be suitable for the iPad Mini.

Any car charger with both ports having qc 3.0 without the usb-c? Rather than a single dedicated port?

  • Very good price but the problem with the free delivery it's ganna takes more than month and if I but it on paid one ganna be same as eBay aus

      English please.

  • This might sound silly but are these fine to use with older phones? It won't overcharge an older phone that might not have quick charge?

      Yes

As ICB said it'll be fine. They have smart chips that can detect how many amps the phone requires and will draw the correct amount.

      • So, does that mean if my phone only supports eg 1A, C24 charger will only supply 1A current or power? But that Tronsmart C24 can provide 2.4A if required?

I say that "1A" is based on what i see on the wall charger that comes with the phone.

Actually how do i find out how many amps my phone requires? From the phone battery description??

          Correct.

It's common for phones to only come with a 1A charger. They often take 2.1A from tablet chargers too.

The battery might tell you but normally looking up the specs online will tell you. I could find out pretty easily too.

        • @Clear:

          Thanks for that reply.

So the below are the info or my phone and battery, can you please tell me how to check or where to check (eg. which website) the "Maximum Amp + Voltage" the phone can take or the "Minimum Amp + Voltage" the phone needs???

On the phone it says "Rated: 3.8 V" but most chargers output are 5 V ??? I am confused..

@chengjianer: Your battery voltage is a whole another story. This article explains it and has a tl;dr too.

Since it's a recent phone it's charger is rated at 5V/2.1A.

  • Which one of these chargers would suit a pixel phone?

    • +1

Tronsmart C2PTU as it has a Type-C port.

      • The one with USB Type-C port

      • Any type-C cables that can be bundled with it Clear ?

        • +1

Pick a cable and I'll see if I can get something tomorrow.

          Good selection here or here

        • @Clear: Thanks for the link. I won't be petty and ask for further discounts on those as they're already
          marked down

  • Tried ordering but couldn't see where I had to decide on shipping method. Look good otherwise

    • Click Proceed to Checkout and you can choose shipping before payment. You can still use Paypal that way.

      • Oh right thanks. My phone must of been playing up. Cheers

  • Hey clear,
    Anything on this phone?

nice got a type c charger for my pixel 2, cheers

  • Can you get a deal on the Tronsmart 3 Port Car Charger please?

  • I am using Galaxy S6 which supports QC2.0 and no usb-c device, should I go for the dual VoltIQ one? Thx

    • To save a couple of bucks, you can go with that

If you think you'll get a newer phone one day with either usb-c or charges at a faster rate. You could invest in the qc3 one now.

    • qc3 is backwardscompatible, so will charge using qc2

  • Hi Guys, I'm not an expert and need you advise. I just bought a huawei mate 10 pro which has usb-c port. Which car charger should I buy on this deal and what is difference? I have a hp notebook which has usb-c charge port aswell but I don't really charge it in the car. I have no more device recently I use. Thanks.

    • The Tronsmart charger with the Type-C port would be the most suitable. Huawei are using SuperCharge in that phone which charges at 4.5V/5A and none of these chargers support that. So it'll still fast charge, but not super charge.

  • Would it be correct to say that the c24 would be compatible with the galaxy note 5 to fast charge in a truck (24 volt)…also would I need a fast charge compatible cable. Hope it's not a silly question.☺.

    • +1

C24 would be suitable. Branded cables like your Samsung cable are fine.

      • My C24 arrived today….so I am happy with the shopping timeframe….AAA+++ for that. Only trouble is the item seems to be DOA….not working at all. Oh dear!…

        • +1

Shoot me a PM with your order number and I'll get that sorted.

  • Never bought from geekbuying before - do we have to do these orders one by one like with GB?

    • Seems like it when I bought both last night. I am no expert though

      • ok thanks feisty

My mailman's gonna love our household for having 10 billion packages arriving every day

  • Would this be able to fast charge Apple devices over USB-C? (e.g. iPhone X)

  • Would be great if the type c port could do 9/12/20v.

    • +1

Next year the QC4+ charges will be out which incorporates USB-PD and does those voltages.

      • Very excited to hear this. Any further details?

        • Currently Snapdragon 630, 660 and 835 support QC4 with the new Snapdragon 845 supporting QC4+.

The predicted phones this year that could have it might be the Samsung Galaxy S9, Note 9, LG G7, Xiaomi Mi7, Mi MIX 3, ZTE Nubia Z18, Nokia 10, Google Pixel 3 and HTC U12.

It's possible that only a small handful will get it as Samsung have a tendency to use their cutdown version of QC2 called Adaptive Fast Charge. Google will likely use USB-PD instead.

  • 30-40 business days, which I'm guessing is on top of the 2-7 business days until sent? That's even slower than gearbest etc… Oh well, I gave it a shot. Maybe in 3 months it might even arrive.

    • Usually arrives much quicker. It just advertises the maximum time it should take.

  • Has anyone received their chargers yet?

    • Mine came mid last week

  • Mine arrived today

  • The tronsmart qc3/pd car charger arrived last week. I tried it out and it's dead. There is no power coming out the usb type A port. Have sent geek buying an email, will report back what happens.
