  • Thanks OP. What do you think are the chances of getting sale flights return SYD/PEK for under $300 like last year?

  • Nice price. You normally need to stay overnight at Guangzhou on the way back if travel with China Southern, free accommodation and breakfast is provided. Best try to arrange early flight to Guangzhou so you have more time to settle down at the hotel, have a proper dinner then rest for the night. I used to arrive Guangzhou with the “shortest transit time” option and was in a rush of doing everything and trying to catch up only a couple of hours sleep after settling down. It was an exhausting experience.

  • +1

Is China southern ok if they codeshare with qantas? I thought they were rubbish?

    • Lol

    • What difference is it going to be with a codeshare agreement. Still run by China Southern. I took it in Nov/Dec '17 and lived to tell the tale.

      • It was ok? Comparable to normal full service airlines eg wants?

        • Yea it was okay. The transit was just a tiring experience. I was okay with it because I had never been to Guangzhou. Wouldn't do it if you were just looking to save a bit of money.

        • @bob_wangkar: doing it next week on way to BKK… to save some money haha. 2 hour stopover in Guangzhou 😳
