The ROIDMI 3S Car Charger allows you to connect a phone to your car's FM stereo system via Bluetooth to wirelessly transmit music.

It has dual USB for charging two devices simultaneously up to 5V/3.4A and everything can be controlled using an app for Android and iOS.

Unlike its predecessor the ROIDMI 3S now has a universal plug which allows it to be used with any car without requiring the use of an adapter.

Dammit I always miss this. Please release more.

  • Damn. Keep missing out when these are posted.

  • I have a 2s and have been using it extensively of late, it's a pretty good device. To my knowledge the differences between the two are:

-the 2s has a mic, albeit you have to shout so it's not great for long conversations. If you shout you are heard though which you can argue is better than nothing
-the plug does not fit some cars, e.g. A friends BA falcon. It does fit an 01 Camry and an 04 Hyundai though
-the charging is only 2.4A on the 2s
-I paid a few bucks more than this deal

The questions I have for other users are:

-are there better cheap devices out there? This isn't new tech, maybe there are perfectly serviceable $4 ones on ebay, we seem to be pretty quick to just on the Xiaomi bandwagon
-one of my phones won't see the roidmi 2s, anyone know if this supports multiple devices? Tried the usual disconnecting the first device to connect the second and rebooting the phone and power cycling the device
-someone mentioned somewhere that this can tell you your battery voltage but I can't find that feature, I could be wrong

    • I am having problem with the FM reception problem, the sound get transmitted have lots of blackground noise.

For the battery voltage you will need to install the app and check it on your phone.

If you have background noise, try a different frequency.

  • I got the 3S but found myself going back to 2S because the 2S just sounds slightly better for some reasons.
