TMARTSOLAR

Thanks to Tmart rep for the new code. Not as cheap as last deal but still a good price. They turn on when it gets dark and works as a path light. When the motion sensor is triggered it operates at full brightness as a security light.

I got a set of these a while back - I was actually surprised how bright they are.
No issues with the battery life either. Great for lighting around the front of the house.

    getting a set! thanks

    Edited:

Are these are better? https://www.tmart.com/5X30-LED-Solar-Powered-Panel-Motion-Se… 30LED lights

    • im also confused as to why these are cheaper and have less reviews

    • Yes Better. Also Cheaper for the 5 x 30LED on ebay $39.45 Delivered.

      • FYI - ordered from this eBay seller on Nov 22nd - still haven't received.

        • +2

There are many sellers on eBay where the 30leds are around the 8$ea mark. Anything from China in my experience takes about a month. Xmas will be longer for obvious reasons.

        • +1

I think it's sort of expected that way, just have to be patient.

Worst come to worst, just raise dispute.

"Xmas will be longer for obvious reasons."

I wish everybody had commonsense like this

We have to tell people again you can get one from eBay for similar price or cheaper.

    • Deja vu!!!

    • +2

im interested in getting something like this, can you tell me a cheaper alternative on ebay? thx

  • Couldn’t get the sensor to work. Anyone?

    • +1

Sounds really dumb, but you did push the button in (that is under the rubber dome) until you heard it click to toggle it on?
I only ask this, as I found that the button was set deeper in it than I anticipated.
After that, it won't immediately come on for movement - it requires darkness too (the light sensor is in the Solar panel).

If you have toggled the button on, then you cover the panel, it should then light up.

  • Bought these last time.

1 didn't work and now another has stopped
Otherwise very bright and work well.

    • +1

Maybe they only work on US solar voltage.

      ;-)

  • Anything similar with warm LEDs?

    • +1

Yeah this looks better in pricing .. eBay too .. Buyers protection.
      It even has 30 LED.

      • 30 LED is $8.46

Thanks ~ I only need 2 of these, so ebay is better for me. Don't need 5 of them.

3 months possible free shipping period? wtf. lol

  • I got them, bloody good light.

Your local Reject Shop currently has something similar.

Solar panel is a separate unit attached by a cable. Which i think is a better design if you want to use it under a carport for instance

    A more powerful version

Otherwise very bright and work well.

Those that commented positively on this light, do you use the exact brand as sold in Tmart? Or just the 25,30 LEDs?

    • These exact same ones from T-Mart. Got mine from a previous T-Mart deal.

      • +1

I got the same over a year ago and agree good lights. 1 stopped working so I took it down and left it laying around in the backyard. Couple days late it had healed itself lol.

  • Does anyone know if I put it 1m in from the sun will it get enough solar on it or will it being in the shade make it not work?

Kind of want it at the start of a covered deck.

    • +16

1 metre from the sun, will probably melt

    • +1

      You only try by experimenting.
I placed mine (the 30 LED version) only in a sunny aspect facing North, East or West 2 to 2.5m above the ground level being light up.
Come winter-time it will be a bigger test.
You can get some slightly more efficent solar cell powered lights containing SMDs and some with the solar cell wired separately, but they cost much more.
You can also get these brighter longer range sensor/solar lights.

  • Anything at Bunnings come close to this?

    • I found this at Bunnings but am not sure Lumen wise, is it even close. This one is at 5 Lumen.

      This is 10 Lumen.

      This is 2.5 Lumen.

  • Are they tough enough that you could mount them on your (flat) driveway as edge lighting, and be able to drive over them?

    • +2

I wouldn't think that is a wise idea, particularly 8 aud product made in China.

    • +2

They are just what looks to be ABS plastic. And with an 18650 cell in them, they'd likely make a nice little bang if you drove over them.

  • I got these last time the deal came up, I had them along my driveway and my neighbours complained that they were too bright

  • If they weren't so damn ugly, I'd grab some. Why can't the make a simple / clean looking wall mountable light. (I'd like to get some to put on my fence posts, but these are too fugly IMO.

    • +1

      I reckon they are alright.

Pick 2 from this list: functional, design, price.

      • I concur with tonyjaii. They're quite compact and look very neat when installed on wall / top of fence etc. Definitely better than the larger Aldi ones.

  • Bought 2 for USD 8 from Amazon US about a month ago. It only goes for a few hours after sunset but generally good enough for my use.
Motion sensor range is reasonably good too.

  • Has anyone done any testing? I pulled on out to repair it and measured 4.63v off the supposably 18650!

Im assuming they charging circuit board does not have a cutoff and they all are overcharged everyday if there is enough sun
