Haha I'm curious if they thought I was really going to report it or they just thought it was a shit joke?

Nice pun at the end there…

  • Nice Brush , thanks for the post OP, do you know how to get rid of hard toilet stains….I tried bleach it didn't work for me…

    • Quick Google search suggests borex and vinegar. Haven't had that problem yet. I usually nip the problem in the bud.

    • Scoop half the water out. Add a couple of caps of CLR. Leave overnight. Push away stains with a fork handle or similar.

      • +1

        fork handles or four candles?

        • +3

Use four candles for ritualistic emphasis.

      Denture cleaning tablets.

Put 4 or 5 and leave overnight.

    • Thanks guys, I probably give denture tablets a go as it is the cheapest option and see how they perform

      • +6

If you're a real Ozbargainer you'll also put your dentures in there and do both at the same time.

        • lul, I just throw 6 denture tablets + lots of baking soda + vinegar into the toilet. Hope miracle can happen tmr morning :)

          @Yaren24:

You shouldn't have added the vinegar and baking soda.

One is acidic and the other is alkaline so they neutralise each other.

Looks like it would work because it fizzes but you should only use one at a time.

        • @Scab: It didn't work this time, the stains are still there, I am off to bunning to buy some hydrochloric acid…

I had hard calcified crap in the bottom of the bowl. Nothing short of a jackhammer was going to shift it. Bought some hydrochloric acid from Bunnings and poured a cup full in the bowl. Left it for a few hours, flushed and most was gone. Gave it a second dose and now the bowl is like new again. Just make sure the room is ventilated as you get some fumes coming up but it really wasn't that bad at all.

You should eat more fibre to loosen your stools.

  • Is it a bamboo handle or bamboo brush or bamboo pot ?

    • All the above, it's a 3-in-1.

    • Bamboo handle, plastic pot, I expect plastic bristles.

  • If the handle is made of bamboo, I would not buy it. This handle is more easier for dirt to be stayed than plastic / stainless steel. Germs will be grown on around the bamboo handle near the brush head. Black dots / mould will stick around. IMO, this is why they sell cheaper.

I always thought "Bamboo naturally contained an anti bacterial agent, bamboo kun, that prevents, kills or reduces the growth of bacteria" But if its a treated surface and rought then it provides a place for this to occur

      • I think bamboo produce anti bacterial agent when its "alive" which protect itself naturally. These agent will not stay and disappear gradually after the bamboo die. And most of the bamboo product surface are chemically treated to make it shinny and attractive to customers. IMO , bamboo product itself is good but not ideal to be exposed near water. For example, bamboo made flooring tiles not recommended to be laid within bathroom.

Basically, anything that has large pores is bad, as it can capture dirty residue eg. Wood. Plastic and stainless steel are poreless.

OP, how'd you get a car to fit into your toilet bowl?

  • Is it just me or does anyone often have a hard time finding things posted here at Bunnings? The place is massive and even if you found the right section, the item you're looking for is not there, ask staffs and they say promotional items are scattering around at different places!!! I even had a helpful staff spent 20 minutes clinging on his life to check the boxes on top shelves but yielded no result. That's what happened to me yesterday at Rockdale Bunnings tried to find a damn head torch in this deal and this toilet brush. Often, that's the experience.

I'm a kind of guy who likes to enter, in and out within 5 minutes then satisfaction but I find it so hard to do in the old, dated, dusty Bunnings building.

    \endrant thanks for reading.

Each to their own, but I normally enjoy taking my time. Most guys love it in there.
