@Savas: What are you on about?

        • +2

          @PJC: Can't remember sorry

  • Also brioche buns are the best. However if you love the strong buttery smell etc then go for Coles (I don't)

    • +3

I found the Coles ones to be quite "cakey"

    • +1

aargh.. I meant ALDI brioche buns are the best. (Evidently my auto-predict is the worst).

    • except for this particular product. way better off buying coles thawed croissants

    • It comes frozen and thawed overnight!

  • +6

Thanks for the deal glorious leader.

    • +11

it's just the buttering up before I push the red button

  • Good price. Although normal price at Aldi. Goes well with Coles Burger Sauce.

  • +1

Personally prefer the Aldi ones. They hit the nail on the head with that one.

These are also great for bacon and egg sandwiches

Brioche is the Donald Trump of bread. It's the Kid Rock of bread. The most repugnant bread on earth.
Hipsters attempting to ruin burgers. Why don't you just eat beef on banana breads? Cretins.

    • +4

Banana bread as bun? That's a great idea actually.

    • +1

you're just like Donald Trump, tells his true opinions, yet gets ridiculed

    • +2

Man you must really hate Brioche bread

      • +2

was a joke, but I appreciate the responses.

        • +3

then did you have to neg? usually they are taken seriously

        • +5

          @Savas:

I misunderstood the serious nature of this bread related bargain. I am truly remorseful.

    • +3

Down vote if you don't like the price, not the product.

      • +1

Not true. See any deal on cage eggs.

        • +1

Comments are great for discussion but the votes of an offer should only represent if the deal offers value price-wise, not to reflect personal purchasing preferences.

        • @ynwa: Again, untrue. See this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/342950
7 unrevoked negative votes. OzBargain mods seemed to have agreed that an issue with the product is fair grounds for neg voting.

        • +1

@tomkun01: My opinion of why Ozbargain exists is not "untrue" just differs from yours and the mods who IMHO are also missing the point.

        • @ynwa: lol. opinion? it's fact. the mods clearly allow voting neg on bad products. i'm being subjective. I would neg this product, as I bought it before and was disappointed, but I wouldn't say it reaches neg threshold. mods have always been of the opinion to let the community as a whole decide. that's why this site is so successful IMO

        • +1

          @tomkun01:
I did ask them about it and the answer was - if its not one of these keywords, they won't revoke, and can only be revoked by > -8 neg votes from members.

        • +1

@tomkun01: Voting based upon personal taste or ethical choices don't benefit the community who come here for Bargains and Deals.

        • @ynwa: Agree to disagree. Community recommendations are much more beneficial than detrimental to both Ozbargain PTY LTD and users. Ethical ozbargaining betters public perception of the site -> safer advertising -> scotty can put more money into site -> site growth - > better experience for users -> increase of users. And without recommendations based on taste, none of us would be eneloop connoisseurs.

        • @tomkun01: Agreed. I'm all for ethical purchasing and personal choice but there's a place for it and Ozbargain shouldn't allow itself to be muddied by these in its Deal voting. Guaranteed there are plenty of ethical reasons not to buy from Hungry Jacks, for example. The community loved a cheap way of getting a burger by requesting ingredients individually and up-voted accordingly. That's because it's a deal.
I'm an eneloop connoisseur because I read reviews and used this site to find the best price when I needed them. I didn't waste time negging various deals because they listed a colour I didn't like..

  • What goes well with this?

    • Bacon n Egg

  • They also have Powerade drinks for half price. Bought nearly 20 of the sugar free version ones.

Got to keep my blood's electrolyte level balance, lol.

    • Those 600ml aren't good value because it's still $3/L when on sale. Best to wait for the 1L or the 1.5L ones to go on sale.

      • Now I know, next time I`ll wait for the bigger bottles ones to go on special.

        Please don`t take my ozbargain license…. :)

        • +1

Haha it's all good. I stock up on maximus drinks myself because they go to $1.5/L at Coles when on sale.
