      • OK Xiaomi!!!!! :)

They're Xiaomi, that alone makes them special.

I like Xiaomi as much as the next OB'er, and I hate being that guy, but…

How confident are we that these meet Australian standards for eyewear (eg UV protection etc)?

I couldn't find it on the site (sight?)

    • +4

Maybe it's like the quoted lumens on chinese torches. Glasses protected against 140% of UVA/B/C…

    • +4

Have you just questioned a Xiaomi product? How dare you? You're dead, Matty.

    • Most of the stuff sold in Australia doesn't meet standard.

  • no… just no

  • From all the photos I can see, these look huge. Check the Gearbest review section for photos.

    • 14.5cm wide according to OP description

    • chinese copy stuff …. this time they are Elvis left-overs so yeah would be large.

    • Received these 2 days ago and they are not too bad. I do have a big head however!

  • Are these Bluetooth 3? Can it show messages on the lenses?

    • How good would that be.

      • +3

If anyone can do it, xiaomi can

  • +4

I do not know why I bought these. Please send professional help.

Eh.. I saw some aviator style polarised sunnies in the Cancer Council sale at David Jones for $25. Probably a better bet, this seems a bit pricey still and who knows whether the lenses meet Australian standards.

    • +2

Yup! Got an aviator style & Wayfarer style sunnies from the recent David Jones sale. Two pairs of local, polarized sunnies with maximum UV protection for $50, and with the peace of mind of knowing I can return them locally if something goes wrong with any of them.

      • There is no comparison with the special light rimless stainless steel frame they use in the more expensive ones linked above to Cancer Council ones and the lens quality is exceptional.
These also have the arms connected at more comfortable mid-connection point which puts less pressure on the nose.
Only thing is if they alter the colour of traffic light perception for driving.
As far as UV is concerned there would be no problem.

  • Yes, now I can be Top Gun!

    • +1

      Can you fly a Mig-28?

      • With these glasses you can fly a tomcat inverted.

  • these xiaomi sunglasses are like yhose yeelights where i can change the tint colour! Haha

  • If these are the same ones I tried in store, they're of excellent quality. Ultra light and flexible. Wasn't too keen on the style though. I'd buy them if I didn't already have good polarised sunnies.

  • Has anyone received this order?

    • I got mine last week… Definitely a poor decision on purchasing them, they're very flat and don't curve with your face. I threw them in my car as spares for passengers.
