Reasonable price for a generic charger that does the job if you're looking for a spare charger IMHO!

Thanks to nocure for the eBay PARCEL20 post

Not bad. If you want to charge multiple devices at once, they sell these at Ikea. I havn't used, however specs look good. If it dies, returning will be easy at Ikea too http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/40291889/

    • pretty handy this! nice find!!

    • These Ikea ones are also very well built compared to some, it's always best to go for a named brand with a reputation than the generics. Small cost for safety.

Good price for what it is.
Probably worth noting that this is not a fast charger.
    FYI - https://www.lifehacker.com.au/2015/01/charge-your-phone-in-h…

    • I'd usually go for any with 2A current output or more; I find that the charging time is quick enough for me :)

      • Same here. But I work in an office so I don't really have charging issues.
If you happen to be out and about a lot I can imagine that fast charging would be a good option for you.

  • Looks like the same one here for $4.59

    • I mean this is a good price if you can't wait 2 weeks to a month for shipping from HK/ China

  • I have bought cheaper on Aliexpress.

  • Am I missing something here?

Irrelevant. Buy first. Ask questions later.

      • its not even a bargain…

        • @sphericalnine has already mentioned this.
You're right. It's not a bargain if you compare it to o.s. products that have not been given SAA approval.

  • SAA approval is expired, not sure if they should still be selling them…

  • Can this be used for Raspberry Pi?

    • Depends on what model you have and what you have attached to it.
If your peak power consumption does not exceed 2.1A, you'll be fine.

      • I just use it to run PiHole and a web server to control a relay to open the garage.

    • RPi1&2 will be OK, RPi3 needs 5.1v 2.5amp
