Great.. they've jacked up Pepsi 2L varieties everyday price to $2.15 now by the looks… Hopefully Woolies keep them at $2.

    • +7

I'm assuming this is the NSW Catalogue, which has the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) factored into the price.

      • Thanks, didn't know about that.

      • given the disclosure of "not at Coles Wynyard, Albury, Broken Hill, St Leonards" and other NSW based places, you could be right there

      .
is Bega 100% just the Kraft 100% Peanut Butter rebranded ? as it looks identical except for the name ……..guess I'll find out on Wednesday ;)

      • Well I don't eat it because it's disgusting but it's supposed to be!

      • +4

If I recall correctly, Bega bought Vegemite & a few other Kraft brand products… To keep them Aussie.

        • But are the peanuts Australian?

        • +2

          @PJC:
on the jar: made from Imported and Local ingredients.
so I doubt they are Australian Peanuts, otherwise they would have advertised the fact.

Dick Smith's OzeNuts proudly claim all Australian peanuts - more expensive but delicious

        • @pencilman: Thanks, I may give OzeNuts a try.

is Bega 100% just the Kraft 100% Peanut Butter rebranded ? as it looks identical except for the name

It is the same, and is now part of the Peanut Butter war.

Kraft sold off Vegemite and Kraft peanut butter to Bega, this included the recipe and factories.

Now Kraft has merged with Heinz and want to reenter the Australia market. They want to use the old jars/labels, but made in different factories with a different recipe.

Currently, what was Kraft Peanut Butter is made by Bega. By next year, there could be the bizarre situation where customers keen on the original Kraft taste have to buy Bega Peanut Butter despite a product called Kraft Peanut Butter also being on the supermarket shelves.

Bega has gone as far to say that only it now owns the classic recipe and Kraft’s reborn spread will be “a different recipe, made in a different factory by different people”.

Kraft takes Bega to court over classic peanut butter stand-off

      • +1

It is exactly the same, Bega bought the Kraft peanut butter factory.

    • It's the best

Thanks OP! In tightarse we thrust! trust! I'll get my coat …

  • +3

    Barilla half price yes pls.

  • Gillette 50% off

Awesome, just needing some new razors.

Colour changing Tim Tams when refrigerated? I think I'll just stick to my $1 Oreos and 95c Pringles :D

Almond milk has Almonds (2.5%) or max 5%.

This means a one or two almond per ltr while rest is water

Not sure whats definition of milk

    • +1

That’s why I’m the European Union they call them “almond drink”. Even Zymil they can’t call them milk. They’re “lactose-free milk drink”.

I guess we’re almost like that, but not onto milk products yet. Only 100% juice can be called juice. Otherwise it’s “fruit drink”.

TA, can you please bring lenovo laptop deal again plzzzz

  • What equipment you used to scan the catalogue? it is very clear with no crease.

  • Luv-a-duck not appearing in SA's catalog.

My Coles online (NSW) says no $1.82 Tim Tams, but I can have 2 for $5 :-(

EDIT: Cancel that - they were the varieties shown first (the artsy fartsy gelato). The regulars are indeed $1.82.

  • Now the NSW has 10c container deposit, I've lost track of what price I should be paying for discounted Coca Cola 24 or 30 packs. Anyone keep an eye on this?

    • just set your state to one that doesn't have a deposit scheme, eg: Victoria and compare the prices from there.
