    Extra handset costs make it unattractive

    Let me sum up most of ozbargainers' comments from last month plan deals
    1. Samsung s9 gonna announce end of this month.
    2. Optus / Vodafone iPhone 8 64Gb was $59
    3. Optus / Vodafone iPhone 8 plus 64Gb was $64

    Virgin don’t yet support VoLTE or VoWIFI for Apple phones, even though Optus have supported this for a while now.

    VoLTE will be available to select Samsung phones from 22 November 2017 with further additions to come this year.

    Forum posts say they’re still looking to add other phones, but they’re not being specific about what that means, or how soon it is. Also, worrying reports of outages affecting Virgin and not Optus in same location even after restarting phones.

    Something to keep in mind if you know the places you frequent have low 3G or no signal on Optus. VoLTE and VoWIFI will make a vast difference to this once they enable it for more devices.

    For comparison, Optus are still doing the S8 with 20gb for $59 p/m. Data-free Netflix streaming (but not the subscription) is included also.
