I know right? Especially since they're expected to be a $399 RRP. (Though, who pays RRP right?)
Turns out the $399 price was a “press release mistake” by Bose. RRP is $299 for these. Handy marketing ploy there that they drive everyone to buy them straight away think it’s a launch price special.
I originally had them on order from the Bose Sydney store but cancelled the order yesterday to pick up this deal instead as the store was quoting 2-3 weeks for them to get stock.
Thanks for that info. I won’t jump on them right now then. However, keen to hear what you think when you get yours.
I'd usually jump on these at this price, but by just about all accounts, these earbuds have major audio/video sync issues. Yes, they are designed for active use, so for many, this won't be an issue, but I'd like to watch a bit of youtube whilst at the gym too, and with these, that will be infuriating.

This issue was raised in Oct 2017 and i believe there's been a software update release to fix the issue in December 2017.
Ok, thanks for that….. Just checked it out, still looks like some people are complaining about the same issue post update. Might be a case of waiting for the "ii" version if you want to watch video without issues.

I assume they’re identical to the ones with a neck band, minus the band. They sound good. Far better than the BeatsX and better than the AirPods. Obviously has the Bose sound signature but find this far nicer and far less fatiguing than the terrible “cheap trick” processing in the BeatsX. Plenty of bass reproduction, in fact at first it seems a bit much but once you’re walking or running outside it becomes perfectly balanced.
They are large and do stand out, but I don’t think they have the slightly wanky look of the AirPods. Apparently call clarity isn’t the greatest for the other end and battery life could be better. Otherwise highly recommended.
Thinking of buying these or B&O Play E8 or to wait for the Sony WF-700SP or Jabra 65t Active. What do you think guys? These has good battery but from the reviews, they obviously have video sync problem.

Imo blue looks nicer, but the white/clear plastic tips will get dirty quickly.
I liked the blue, but ended up buying black! Didn’t want them to stand out more than they already do lol..

Does anyone notice there is a lag between video and the sound if you use youtube app on iphone for this headset?
Yes, this is a known problem. The guy at the store told me that they have fixed with their new firmware but apparently it's still there.
