    Is this a bargain?

    • +1

      No

      • At least these seem to be the Made in Japan variety. Based on the packaging and description.

        Now, for a $10 voucher..

why would this not be a bargain. seems to be to me if you are a catch member. a pack of 4 looks to be $15 + elsewhere on the market

    • Not really a bargain, being a catch member you need to spend over $50 to get free shipping.

      • i am a catch member and in my case im looking for 20+ of these, throw in some cashback and its a bargain for me. going to hk shortly and while there ill pick up a charger and a set of aa's.
agree not strictly a "bargain" given the absence of free shipping for non members.
on closer inspection i see these are marked with "12 2016" which may indicate a production date of >12 months ago, and that may be a downside, not sure, but knowing catch id say they are flogging some batteries they got very cheap due to this date …?

    • get ikea lsd 900ma aaa battery for under $10 for lsd. made in japan.

  • "Introducing the Panasonic Eneloop rechargeable battery"
Wow! These must be a new product!
(At least they may be to anyone other than OzB members…)

  • Where can I buy a charger for these batteries?

  • +7

Don't forget for this kind of money you can almost buy 3 packs of Aldi lsd rechargeables.

    • So you're comparing a cheap Chinese made Aldi battery to a Japanese made Eneloop now. The quality of an Aldi battery is not quite as good and won't last nearly as long as an Eneloop.

      • +5

You totally missed my point - if you can buy 3 packs for a similar price then that defeats the whole issue.

Don't forget you don't have to buy the 3 packs at the same time.

        • +4

Using Quick Maffs the cost of a pack of Aldi LSD would be nearly one-third of a pack of Eneloop.

          Aldi =1/3 Eneloop

Waiting for MathNerd to confirm with calculus.

        • +2

@sky blu: I have done the calculations, and WatchNerd and sky blu are correct. You save heaps by getting the LSDs. I didn't even need to use correction tape.

    How do these compare?

I thought I read somewhere on OzBargain a while ago that Ikea Ladda are the same as Eneloops?? Is this true?

  • +2

Aren’t the ones from ikea made in Japan and cheaper?

    • +1

they're from Japan. It's a bit hard to prove they're eneloops, but most likely the same quality.

  • Cheaper here.. used 'PRESENT20' discount code during checkout…

    Just paid 51.11 posted for 5x packs of 4xAAA's… $10.22/pack x4..
