Saw 2 left in Big W Boxhill VIC, thought it's pretty good price for a 4K TV of this size with 60Hz refresh rate.

    JVC not LG

  • Thanks guys, corrected :)

  • +1

    Lol, JVC is no frills

    • +1

Show some respect. They invented VHS.

      • I don't think JVC actually exists. It went bankrupt and some Chinese firm bought the brand name and now they just hock the brand name to no-name Chinese manufacturers.

  • 60Hz …..

    • I have 200 Hz LG. Do you know how/when we can tell the difference between 60 and 200 mhz TV quality? I mean when watching fast action movies maybe? Or documentary?

      • Is your source 200hz?

        • Have no idea.

I watch free to air TV. No foxtel. No bluray or DVD player. I download bluray rips but never check it's spec about Hz.

          @dragonindespair:

I watch free to air TV.

If you only use fta and rip then don't worry about the 200hz.

        • @dragonindespair:

          Tight-arse.

@Ripped: it's ozb fault too many great bargain hard to resist.

      • dragonindespair: probably most obvious when you watch live sports I'd imagine

    • +5

      • +1

        Dled = different led

  • Honestly wouldn't buy it, it's a Chinese factory rebrand. Save your bikkies and grab a Hisense if you have to

    • Iunno, might still be passable if you need one for your office/ workplace?

      • $859 shipped with a Kogan voucher ($10 for $50 off) if you absolutely HAVE to have a 65".

        • Weird… not sure what happened to that Kogan link I posted…

      • Iunno

Kids still saying that these days?

  • +4

Might have been interested in this but managed to pick up a special price of 800 for Hisense 65N5.

When following the link there's a spend 100 get 10 dollars off in top of the page. Code is HNY18 if anyone decides to pull the trigger on this one.

    • Is the price so special your not allowed to tell anyone where you bought it ?

      • +3

No not that special haha. They offered that price for a display model originally but because they still are selling that model (and need a TV to display) they ended up offering us a brand new unit for the same price. Was Parramatta Westfields store.

        • Parramatta Westfield's……..????

          You still haven't named a store ?

        • +2

Haha my bad I didn't realise. No secret here. Jb hifi

        • @andyman1908:

Was about to write something along lines of shipping costs from Never Never land….but instead = Daaaaaaamn !

      • -1

You could have just asked instead of getting all worked up about it.

    • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • That was because it was an end of life model!!

  • Bought 2 in previous deal. For me, they are well enough…. Audio sucks, and audio out is limited, only has line out and coaxial out….

    • No ARC on the HDMI?

    • +2

only has line out and coaxial out….

that’s analogue and digital taken care of - what else did you want?

      • Line out and coaxial may have been ok back in days of vga, but not nowadays.

        • Do your research - TVs can only output stereo or AC3 via digital output - whether it’s SPDIF, Toslink or (ARC) HDMI. Since bandwidth is heavily limited, either does the job equally well.

        • @AlexF:

hdmi arc can be used for more than just audio. having a hdmi arc should in theory cut down on cable clutter, and make it more convenient for the user when it comes to controlling their devices.

      Does this have HDR?

How low is the input lag?

      How good is the upscaling?

I mean this is my dream size and price kinda as long as there are no major downfalls I'm happy.

      • Umm… honestly would avoid like the plague for that price. It'd have to be $450 to be happy with the quality.

  • Price is now $1199
