  • Hopefully they don't price jack cause it would be an even better deal tomorrow

    • how so?

      • The 20% sale…

        • why thank you good sir.

        • @lolzdj: no worries

The prices of mainstream video cards have been hiked so much due to mining that it's even starting to bring up the prices of lower end GPU's.

Sad days indeed for PC gamers.

About 6 months ago the faster GTX 1050 2GB could be bought for $149 with a 5% discount coupon, now the same GPU that I purchased now costs roughly $180. And that's for the crappy Inno3D brand.

    • $21 increase is not that bad….

      • its $31 inc = 20% inc

      • The big price increase are shown more with the mid-higher end range of gpu,
Werent the 1080ti around $800 at one stage? And now what are they worth? $1200+? Even second hand ones are going for over 1k, its rediculous.
        Even $700 for a 1070 is a rip off.

Ive had to hold off on building a new pc :(

1050Ti was 199 back in december

      • Agree. I am just waiting for bit coin mining to crash/slow down before I can upgrade my pc for gaming again.

I'm still waiting to upgrade my 7950 but that day seems further and further away.

      • Same but I am on 6850.

    • I waited and waited for the mid range GPUs to drop in price but once I noticed that the 1050s were going up in price I decided to buy one. I figured that if the prices go back to normal i'll just give it to my sister and get a better GPU.

For those wondering, this appears to be the "full-fat" RX560 with 1024 stream processors (16 CUs), as opposed to the "cut-down" RX560 with 896 stream processors (14 CUs).

So if you're in the market for an RX560, make sure you're comparing apples with apples as the cut-down version sells for cheaper, but is called the same thing.

So in your opinion this or 1050?

Which one is better bang for buck?

      • You get about 10% extra performance with the GTX 1050, so you can use that to gauge how much more you should pay for it.

Another consideration is your monitor choice - G-sync monitors (for nVidia cards) are ridiculously expensive. Freesync for AMD cards is however readily available, even in the cheapest monitors. IMO variable sync makes the gaming experience much more smooth, especially for low-end cards where you won't be hitting 60fps all the time.

So an RX560 + a Freesync monitor would be a great combo for a budget but very smooth gameplay experience.

First things first, what is the hashrate?

    • Looks to be about 14-15Mh/s Which is actually decent for the price

      • Not sure will I be able to get the same hashrate with this 2gb, otherwise this will be a fantastic deal.

          Oh yeah it's a 2gb. My mistake
