What does the iPhone X have that the S8+ doesn't? why would it be worth spending $760 more for the iphone?

    • Its Apple enough said

      • not really, there must be something to justify the almost double price.

        • There must be something that justifies Android Fanboy always opening up Apple posts to try and make their voice heard

        • @asa79: sorry i am asking a genuine question, its a lot of money so you must get something for it.

Just wait for Android to follow with the $1300 Samsung S9 to finally get people to stop saying its overpriced.

          https://www.techradar.com/news/samsung-galaxy-s9-release-dat…

What will the Samsung Galaxy S9 price be?
Our sources have told us to expect a price hike of £50 in the UK, which will translate to £739 - this means we'd expect it to land around $775 / AU$1300 in other nations. That's a 7% increase over last year, but a massive 25% bump from the Galaxy S7 - the Galaxy S9 won't be cheap.

Honestly, if you are happy to drop the best part of $1600 on a phone, give yourself an uppercut. You're an idiot.

    • +2

Whilst many may agree, this is such a subjective comment. Everyone sees different values in different things, and just because they do it doesn’t warrant them being called an idiot. Too expensive and not for you? Move on, plenty more bargains to be had.

      • Are you enjoying your iPhone X? :)

        • Yep, are you enjoying your BMW?

        • @nizsmo: BMWs are the iPhone of cars. They're the ticket when you want to feel special by spending stupid money for what can be done better by something half the price (or less). Not my idea of a good time.

        • @ozoner: well, clearly you don't understand the value of product. Can you find a car that can offer better handling, better ride quality and technology, and rear wheel drive with half the price? A 3 series F30 which has superb review cost around $55k, I don't think you can find anything at $30k. The only one I can think of is toyota 86, but the back seat is not as practical as F30.

We, being materialistic should also make effort to understand "material" better.

        • +1

@ozoner: indeed, but I am sure you understand the point I’m trying to get across. You are entitled to have your own point of view, and so are others. Let’s appreciate, enjoy great bargains and move on.

    • Most will pay over $2k when they enter expensive telco contracts
