  Despite not knowing the brand much - they have very competitive pricing for most of their offerings which are in decent retail packaging.

  However if one is willing to look past them - there are plenty of eBay sellers (some local) that will selll a Bluetooth dongle (CSR) for let’s than $5 with bt4.0 connectivity.

  CSR is perhaps one of the harder to use bt module but given that they were the ones behind the Aptx and aptxllc codecs - reliance on Bluetooth audio seems to be the prime factor in what we want our Bluetooth transceivers to support.

  Unfortunately what you get from the others (Broadcom and intel) would be the basic sbc and the other advp? I have been personally happy without aptx so far but every review would highlight this as an edge. (Provided the bt headphones also support aptx!)

  TLDR : cheap but cheaper elsewhere with potentially better audio capabilities given the “exclusivity of codecs” from said producer
