    • I just got Qantas premier credit card early Feb and applied for this card. It got approved yesterday :)

      • How long did you have to wait for your card to arrive in the mail.

        • They sent it to St George branch for ID Verification. I got it within 3 days.

        • @Foreveryone: heh, what a coincidence, I just got a call 5mins ago telling me my card is ready to be picked up at my local branch.

        • @Homr: It was me … just kidding. Enjoy the new card :)

        • @Foreveryone: haha I was feeling the exact same thing

Now just need to find a way to sneak out at work since my local branch closes at 5pm :(

  • For those who don't want to fuss around with airline points & business class redemptions, 90,000 Amplify Points is equivalent to $400 of Westfield Gift Cards. These are just EFTPOS cards that can be used anywhere.

    • That's silly. You can sell 90k points for $900 at a minimum right here on OzB.

    • Sell them for 1c per point. If they catch you, tell them you didn't know and you're sorry. Unlikely they ban you if you aren't a repeated offender.

  • Hi All,

Just wondering …how long would it take for me to get the 90000 points after the $5000 spend within 90 days?
I have a trip lined up at the end of April. I would like to use these points for my tickets.

Also is there a restriction on the type of things that can be charged to the card which will qualify for the $ 5000 ?
Can things like rent be charged to the credit card?

    • *Available when you apply for a new Amplify Signature card between 26 February and 22 March 2018. Eligible purchases do not include BPAY or BPAY equivalent transactions, fees, cash, cash equivalent transactions, refunds and balance transfers debited from the card account. Existing customers who currently hold an Amplify Platinum or Amplify Signature card, or who have held one in the last 12 months, are not eligible for this offer. The bonus points will be credited to your points balance within 12 weeks after the eligible spend criteria is met.

      • Anyone know if Postbillpay payments count…or are they part of the "BPAY equivalent transactions"

  • Will things like rent, bills (elec, gas, vodafone), car finance repayment etc be regarded as "eligible purchases"?

Edit: The answer to my question is above mine lol

  • Anyone else having issues submitting their application? Mine keeps coming up with an internal error message and I've tried Chrome and Safari browsers.

  • i had that same issue so i saved it first and then tried again later via the retrieve application method.

interesting i just got rejected by St George, i have plenty of savings, income & cashflow, very little mortgage left…never been rejected for an credit card before

  • Someone posted a link before which outlined Citibanks partnerships, and there was no mention of Citibank. Why do some people seem to think otherwise?

I have a Qantas Money card and a Virgin Flyer card and just applied for this. Now I am concerned it is a third Citibank card and they will not approve? I'll find out in the next day or two anyway!

    • Well, I was approved. Obviously experian credit score of 470 meant bugger all!

      • Creditsavvy is bullshit (it's Experian, isn't it?). I haven't applied for credit cards for over 1 year and my score has not improved, not even by 1 point. Not a single late payment and always paid off in full.

  • How long do you have to use the Amplify or Qantas points after you're eligible?

  • Is anyone else still waiting for approval? I applied on the 26th Feb and I'm still not approved. I've texted "status" multiple times now and each time it says they will get back to me within 2 business days.

  • I just applied and got approved for this card. I have an average credit score (616) using the finder credit score - experian I think. Just opened a qantas premier card last month with 6k limit. Also currently have amex velocity open with a 4k limit. Closed my anz ff at the start of this month which had a 15k credit limit too. It didnt seem to be too much issue.

  • Signed up afew weeks ago, when does the fee ($139) appear on the statement?

    • +1

Usually happens when they finalize the statement for the first month.

  • anyone had this in the past.. how long does it take to get the points after you make the 5k spend?

  • +1

The offer has been extended to 18 April 2018.
    I signed up yesterday.

  • Question - If I have 2 priority pass from Citibank card, would this card give me additional 2 passes per year?
I have had the card for about 20 days now but on the priority pass app, it only shows 2 visits.

    • yes, this card will give you an additional 2 visits which you need to apply for (priority pass card is posted from HK)

      • ok cheers thanks!

  • anyone know what 90K points is worth and can you use it to pay off credit card?

    • Depends what you use the points for. They can be worth anywhere from $0.005 to around $0.011 per point, or you can sell them and the lounge passes here for $1000. You can’t use the points to pay off the credit card directly.

  • I applied and got approved online "subject to verification" three weeks ago. I'm still waiting for the bank to do their "final approval".
Is the customer service from St George normally this bad?

    • I got a similar experience, it asked for documents so I sent it in email and waited and then it requested again couple days later and I sent again. Finally after sending the third time, with a little message, it went through and approved.

  • Does anyone know if post billpay payments count towards the minimum spend?

  • was going to apply, i meet the income requirements but based on lot of complaints about getting rejected i decided not to. It will ruin credit rating

  • Has anyone recieved their points yet or know how long it takes after the min spend?

  • Applied and finally got my card. I sent my documents 3 times before it finally got done. This deal has ended but it looks like they brought it back with a lower spend criteria of $4000 instead of $5000 within 90 days but $279 annual Fee. Apply between 19th April 2018 and 26th September 2018.
