Gillette (Some Exceptions) and Schick (All) Products 50% off RRP at Chemist Warehouse

930

Just noticed this in store at Chemist Warehouse and confirmed it is in their current catalogue.

Only the Schick products appear to be discounted online but both Schick and Gillette products were half price in store. I picked up an 8 pack of Gillette Fusion razors for $19.99.

The Gillette razors I bought were made in Germany for those wondering.

Free shipping for orders over $25 using the Shipster free trial.

1/2 price on Selected Gillette Variants! ??

    • I guess there might be some exceptions but it appeared to be every product on the shelf at my local store.

      • It is selected variants. The 12 cartridge pack (German made) is $34.

        • It is selected variants. The 12 cartridge pack (German made) is $34.

This is old stock, all the new stock is made in Vietnam.

          @Maverick-au:
That's fine. All I am saying that it is not 50% off for all Gillette.

BTW, are you going to neg this deal as you did to mine?

        • @homersimpson: Check them in-store. The Fusion blades I bought aren't listed as 50% off on the website either but they were in-store. I didn't see any Gillette products in-store that weren't marked with the 50% off label.

        • @Maverick-au: I see you are in Brisbane. I went to Indooroopilly store and they were selling the German made Fusion blades if you need some.

          @donga100:

          Check them in-store.

That's what I did. Wasted my time and petrol going there.

          Please update your post.

@homersimpson: Please go and neg your own deal in that case as MyChemist are selling the Mach 3 12 pack for the same price.

        • @donga100:
Mine is expired, yours is not :)

        • -1

@homersimpson: Is it? Looks active to me…

        • @donga100:
Was marked as expired. Mods have been up to something.

    • Don't see why not. There is no other coupon code required for this deal.

    • It works thanks. Although you need to make sure you have at least $35 of items in your cart before you put in the code otherwise you don't get free shipping with shipster.

The Mach 3 Blades are no longer made in Germany since the more expensive Fusion line took over the factory.
New factory in Poland and Maylasia ? now I here.
The quality and durability has gone away aswell.

    • now I here.

      I lol'ed

        It's what I hair.
        What?…. What!

Gillette Fusion are the only ones still made in Germany that I have found.

Which is recommended for the pubic region?

      Weed Whacker

      A whipper snipper.

        'Snipper'

Not an appealing word in this scenario ;/

    • Brazilian wax

    • Chainsaw ?

    • Depends what you're after. I can't recommend Gillette for the back side. Electric is usually much better and far less chance of shavers rash.

    • You don't

    • Hair

    • Do it the Turkish way. Fire

        .. dude

There was no order for roasted nuts!

  • Yay! Time to stock up on Schick Hydro Silk.

  • +3

Don't forget to stock up on half priced 12yo colognes. The longer it stays on the shelves in direct sunlight, the better it gets.

  • Anyone know how long the deal is on for?

    • All the decent deals will probably sell out fast like this deal earlier today- https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/363379

      • This is in-store at Chemist Warehouse too so likely to be a lot more stock. Expires 8th March according to the catalogue.

  • +1

Don’t forget to add up to 4 free samples to your order. Available items are listed at the bottom on the LH menu bar

  • Bought some of the sensitive disposables for a good penny (though cheap), I think they were like $7 for a 12 pack. I thought they'd be easier to use. My god I got duped, these were some nasty razors. Worse than those bic ones. I hope my next purchase isn't the same garbage.

Anyone recommend a shaver that is less likely to irritate and cut sensitive skin?

Thinking of trying proglide with refills.

    • +1

Mach 3, Gillette fusion or Schick Hydro 5 blade. The only ones that are any good. If you are after something cheaper The Schick Quattro may be acceptable but I got some discounted ones and they cut more skin than a rabbi at a christening.

      • +1

        I don't think you mean a christening, somehow 😇 maybe a Brit Milah…

        • Briss-

    • 3 years ago while in europe i came across this gem of a blade, wilkinson xtreme 3. 0% skin irritation. Not sure if they sell them in oz or if the quality is the same, but they should be sold under the schick brand. 4 or 5 blades are too much imo and it is harder to clean as more hair gets stuck in between blades because the gaps are narrower.

      • I got wilkinsons when I lived in London. They were great!

Shop via finder.com.au for 5% off site wide until 1 march. Code: FINDERFLASHSALE

  • Just went to my store, they wouldn't sell me 50% off Gillette. That's a shame…

    • Because it's not all Gillette. The title is misleading. The OP and the mods have been made aware of it and no action has been taken so far.

      • Yeah I walked down and even price checked some stuff just to find it wasn't everything. Shame! I reported this too. :/

  • Negging for misleading title. Please update and I will remove my neg.

    • +1

That's actually an invalid reason to neg. You're supposed to click the Report button and there is a reason specifically for the title/description.

At least you're offering to remove it at least. People don't usually do it.

      • I reported it few hours ago. Everyone seems to be busy. Negging was the last ditch effort.

        • Mods prioritise their reports and there seems to be less working tonight. I guess this isn't a major deal breaker.

It's just that if you repeatedly do invalid negs you'll probably end up with a warning or lose your neg privileges altogether. ;)

        • @Clear:
Ok. I get your point. Mods can see my voting history and would be hard pressed to find too many negs by me.

    • -1

Being a person who keeps his word, I have removed the neg now that the title has been modified.

  • In case anyone is woundering this was a pricing error by chemist warehouse all prices on web back to normal and in stores but if lucky some stores scan at the error price I got 4 packs of every type at the sale prise I even got 6 packs of 8 proglide fusion power for $60

  • I only use bic classic shavers. A pack of 10 lasts me about a year and I usual get a 10 pack for about $2.50 on special. More than enough for an ozbargainer.
Woollies have these on sale at the moment: https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/196087/bic…. I haven't tried those but could be even better value than the classic or sensitive ones.

    • +2

You must have only 5 hairs on your face to make it do with a pack of bic for a year. You may get away with nose trimmer to remove those 5 hairs.

    • Plot twist - Lavec is 14 and has nearly managed to grow sideburns.

  • 8 blades, jeeez they gonna last me 8 years 😂

  • Why don't you gentlemen just buy a beard trimmer? Women love stubble

This is Knoxfield VIC store right now.
Just grabbed the last two Mach3 sensitive at $16 for 8 blades. Made Germany btw.
    Plenty of Shick stock.

  • Maaaaan I've missed out on both the My Chemist and this deal for the 50% discounted fusion blades!

  • The problem with the Shick range is that they are nearly never discounted, I ended up giving away my Mach 4 and going to Gillette so it didn't cost me hundreds in refills.
