Wow! This should get hot. 8 Proglides for $23. Can't say I've ever seen them that cheap.

I should also add that if you really want to save money then google how to keep your razor clean and sharp. I've been using the razor pit for years but before that used my jeans. My blades last about 3-6 months.

    • Which one is better? The pit or your jeans?

      • @Micoa @habaruas
        See this review: http://www.shavingdetective.com/razorpit-review/

I would say that jeans are slightly better but they aren't as convenient as you don't always have jeans spare immediately after shaving. So I much prefer my razor pit. I agree with the shave detective review that you won't get 150 shaves. I get about 30 with my Fusion Proglides but could probably stick with them a but longer. It's probably about 4 times as many shaves for me.

Try you jeans for a couple of months. You push the blade the opposite way down a jeans leg.

If you do get the razor pit them instead of using shaving foam I lather up hand soap to swipe the blade on. It's cheaper and always handy as something I use shaving oil or creams.

    • Any links for the razor pit?

Why do so many sites want you to create an account with them to make a purchase? Nice deal, but I can't be f##ked if they don't give a simple checkout option.

      Don't you have autofill?..

    • Check. Mate.

    • They want your details. Business pays for this information, often via competitions etc. Or they pay google for it.

Should be able to price match @ Chemist Warehouse to get a further 10% off as well If you want to pick up in store.

    • -4

Not if your local chemist warehouse is an Asian manager - man he always gets so grumpy at me when I use the $10off entertainment book voucher - makes me feel guilty for using it

Any opinion on the battery operated power glide? Are they gimmicky?

    • Couldn't tell you if it's a gimmick or not but I always miss it when my battery goes flat. It just feels smoother.

    • it does a great job. i dropped mine (probably one too many times and it stopped working). you definitely notice a difference

  • Thanks! Bought 24 Mach 3’s :)

  • Good deal. more like 30% off supermarket prices but still better than coles/woolies.

    24 mach3 for $39 is good deal!

    • Don’t Coles/Woolies have 50% off deals as well on Gillette?

      • Dunno. Do they?

        • -1

          Never seen it

    • +1

They are already out of stock online :(

[EDIT]I was able to buy 2 packs, I just refreshed the page a couple times and it gave me the option to add to cart. Hopefully it goes through :)

    • Not always the case. Coles regularly sells Gillette Blue II UltraGrip Pivot Disposables x16 for $6.75. Cheaper than MyChemist current sale price of $6.99.

  • loaded up on Mach3 carts- thanks

Gillete!! ~~The BEST a man can geeeet ~~

  • Bugger. Couldn't see anywhere to put the code in and it charges you without a confirm order type prompt :/

The spot for the code is on the final page before making payment. So you have to create an account, and use the normal checkout and not the express PayPal checkout.

  • Thanks!

Cartridge shavers are some of the most expensive and environmentally damaging shaving you can do.

I bought a safety razor on amazon ($22) with a 100 pack of razor blades ($25) about 3 years ago and I honestly still have about 40 blades left from back then. And this is changing the blade every 2-3 shaves.

It is absolutely the best shave I've ever had compared to a cartridge. More people need to know about this.

More blades does NOT mean a better shave. You're just cutting the hair an unnecessary amount of times.

    • -1

Aside from the invalid neg, you've only shaved 150 times (60 blades used, replaced every 2.5 shaves) in 1095 days?

That's slightly less than once per week. Are we talking about face shaving here?

      • +2

Why does that matter? I got 150+ GOOD shaves from ~$15 worth of blades. Can you say cartridges can even remotely come close to that price point?

        • Using my razor pit to keep my Fusion Proglides clean I only change my razor once every 3 months and shave 3 times a week. Based on this latest deal where I'm getting a years supply for $12 I come close to your deal and better it by 20% 😀

      • +1

I really only shave once a week. What's your point?

      • +2

I shave every Monday, and skip it on holidays. So that’s pretty reasonable.

    • +3

Neggers don't like you pointing out cheaper things because they feel like idiots paying all that Gilette money!

      • -1

Haha I just don't even get it! Are these guys are so brainwashed by Gilette that they can't do simple math?

And surely the concept of "8!! blades!! so we can cut the same hair 8 times!!" doesn't fool everyone? Like yeah… you can cut the hair 8 times… or you can just cut it once close to the skin. Whole things a gimmick.

They're literally paying for additional wasted blades and 'tech' they don't need. Or maybe they're Gilette shills ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      • Ohhhh, neggers!!!! Carry on

  • Fusion refill blades at $2.49, never seen them this cheap before. Much cheaper than Costco!

  • +1

Discount available for Schick products as well.

The Free Shipping code I posted lives again lol

    • Ummm… Free shipping code is for Chemist Warehouse. This deal is for Mychemist… so it does not work in this instance.

      • It does actually work in this case but yes it is the same code as for Chemist Warehouse?
Why is it the same code??

      • +2

        Same code, same company.

        • Oh so that's why I thought I'd seen the website style before - same font on the prices, similar layout.

        • OK cool thanks for clarifying that!

        • @tukanglistrik:
          ePharmacy is another related comp

  • Perfect timing thanks. Woolies was full price.

  • +2

I hate shaving, wish I could get it all lasered off so I never have to.

    • Careful with that… You could end up with a scab.

    • Careful downunder. You don't want it lasered off.

      • I come from downunder.

        • In theory, everyone does.

  • the prices have increased

  • Low stock….ozbargained

  • Sorry, I’m so confused. Use code FS7824 for free shipping over $20 Is for chemist warehouse, and this deal is for my chemist. 2 different website, how can I use same code?

  • Hubby will be pleased with his discounted Fusion blades. Thanks OP

  • +1

LOL was about to buy a bunch of replacement blades for my Mach 3 then remembered I've been growing a beard these last 2 months!!

  • Thanks OP bought mach3 blades!

  • Thanks I need some more shaving foam so my kids can waste it on making slime again.

  • All these blades will be made in the Philippines or Vietnam with some assembled in China. Premium price for a substandard blade that may or may not be contaminated. If consumers refused to put up with this rubbish these companies wouldn't be pushing those cheap products on us and would still be supplying German made products at the same price.

50% off is not a deal as these blade don't even last half as long as the German made ones.

Maybe some will be lucky and get some old German stock. The Gillette sensor 3's might still be imported from Germany.

    • Are blades from Catch the same?

      • Are blades from Catch the same?

I don't know, stock from the distributors in Australia always used to be from Germany but recently it's all changed to the Asian countries but at the same price. I checked all the major chemists, Coles and Woolworths and all stock was Asian manufactured with the exception of a few places that had a mix of old and new stock.

This wouldn't be as big a deal if the distributors were selling these for 25-30% of their original prices because that is the sort of discount that the Asians ones have over the German made ones which goes to show the lower quality.

        • What a joke, although typical of multinational companies. Manufacture as cheap as possible but slug us suckers the same amount. I guess it would be fine if there was not a quality issue but you contend that there is one. Outrageous.

    • What blades do you recommend buying in Australia?

      • +1

What blades do you recommend buying in Australia?

I don't know anymore. I stocked up on the Mach 3 Turbos from BigW recently as these are German made and they were cheap. I have enough to last me a year or two but will stock up on more when I'm in Germany later this year. I don't want to change from the Mach 3 Turbo as it suits my skin but I refuse to use the Asian made ones because they are crap compared to the German made ones and don't last anywhere near as long and I resent the fact that the manufacturers are selling the much cheaper Asian made ones in Australia at the same price despite the massive difference in cost.

  • Started using Schick Hydro 5 and Hydron3 and would never go back to Gillette Mach3's that i bought from shavershop.

Schick lasts a lot longer for me.

    • would never go back to Gillette Mach3's that i bought from shavershop.

      Those were Asian sourced blades.

Schick lasts a lot longer for me.

Not any longer as they are now sourced from the Philippines and China so when you get your replacements they will feel like a used blade and won't last long.

German made blades are far superior to the Asian made ones.

  • Schick stuff not as sold out

  • Damn would have brought multiple but unfortunately low on stock :(
    Good deal op >:)

  • Mach 3 sold out :(

    • Mach 3 sold out :(

I don't know why you're upset, you only missed out on getting second rate Asian made blades.

      • +1

Actually I agree and didn't realise this

I have some from Amazon US that are German to tide me over

        • Actually I agree and didn't realise this

There's a chance they could still have older stock on hand which is German made but it's not worth taking the risk as it appears the changeover occurred around six months ago.

I have some from Amazon US that are German to tide me over

Hopefully another source will sell the German ones in Australia at some point otherwise I'll be getting them from one of the Amazon sites.

      • I already put my order through, didn't realise this. Hopefully there's an off chance it's from Germany? Thanks for posting.

I noticed on the pic: http://www.mychemist.com.au/images/productimages/65591/origi…

But couldn't see anything on Gillette Fusion ones.

  • Just got some in store since they're out online and they say made in Germany

  • I bought an electric shaver for $70, 10 years ago.
It's still working fine, I never buy the (snake) oil they try to peddle at the shaver shop.
Much cheaper than these blades over the years.
    I shave daily.

  • Have anyone tried whether or works for other products?

  • Went to Chemist warehouse to get 10% match and was told that my chemist is them so NO 10%.

    • Yes, they are one.

  • MyChemist and ChemistWarehouse are the same company but the FS7824 is not working on ChemistWarehouse website (95% same prices), and I couldn't find a field to insert the code on mychemist website.

EDIT: I found it (last step)… The code is currently working on mychemist but not on chemistwarehouse…
