  Would the usb be a good alternative to charging a raspberry Pi (official charger is 5v at 2.5A I believe)?

    It depends on the requirements of the Pi… you never want to use a charger with lower A than what is required. It will lead to damage.

  Looks good but their 'global' description might be a stretch - from the picture it doesn't look like it would take EU plugs.
