  • To all my male counterparts drooling like I am over the size and price … cant exactly hide this one from your missus! I have TV regret :(

    • +1

Don’t tell them the size but rather that it’s smaller than it looks.

      • +1

        Hows that going for you?

    • If u got a BIG size, why would hide it from missus…..

    • Just use it only look big ‘cos you’ve got small hands

  • return policy?

    • +4

      Returns: 30 days
      Manufacturer Warranty: 3 Years
Consumer Law Warranty: 10 years* (Consumers expectation of reasonable time)

      • Consumer Law Warranty: 10 years* (Consumers expectation of reasonable time)
where you get those wording from?

        • +1

Grey area but it comes down to a reasonable expectation of how long a TV should last.

Case of 8 years, OzBargain Discussion.

My current TV is about 11 or so years old and rarely had a TV or monitor break on me. For $1700, I'd expect several years.

However, this is the problem now as I have an 11 year old TV (50" HD) that works fine. I'd love for it to break so I can justify buying a bigger and better one. :)

  • +1

damn bought it 2 weeks ago at HN for $1995

    • Price match insurance via Credit Card - it typically covers for 21 days?

      • tried…. heaps of terms and condition which make it impossible to price match

      • Does it have to be at the same seller or any?

Ebay with a code does make things harder, right?

        • yea…. it has to be within 25km, cant be a promotion etc… basically not possible

    • Happy with the tv?

      • +1

very happy with the size, overall is good. Some backlight issue when background is a solid white/grey

  • +4

Um why is brisbane not included in the list of delivery??

Bing Lee is just sour because we keep on winning state of origin year after year ;)

    • It's crazy. Contacted and they just repeated what I already knew.

      • Which was?

        • @ricodbn: ah ok cheers thanks

  • +2

Great price for this size. Wouldn't bother paying double just for HDR.

    • How bizarre, the 65 has HDR but not the 75.
      It's ok though, I can't fit a 75 :D

edit: I'm an idiot, it's the 65N7 i'm looking at.

  • Paid just under $2k for a Hisense 70" ULED last year

Not sure if this is the newer model but if it is, you won't regret buying this bad boy

  • How reliable are these Hisense TVs - especially at this size? I have a 55" LG which is a little too small for my lounge room now - but it's never let me down. Would really like to upgrade to the 75" at this price though.

    • +1

How reliable are these Hisense TVs

we've a 42" that's seven years old. it's starting to fail, but still usable.

    • +1

No worse than the other big brands in my experience (have bought 2 hisense tvs over the past 18 months). Quality control may be a bit off on some models/ranges with light bleed and stuff around the edges but that is not just a hisense issue its edgelight technology. And quality control seems to be a growing issue across brands. As the saying goes they dont make'm like they used too. If this model has good reviews and you want a bang for buck go for it.

    • +3

If this means anything, we have a number of Hisense 55 (or 60") at work and they're on 24/7 - not one has played up. The two Kogan TVs we bought 2 years ago have packed it in.

  • +1

Purchase history shows someone paid an extra $1300 for this only 5 months ago. lol get owned

  • What about response times? Is this any good for gaming?

    • Approx. 33-35 ms without HDR.

      • with or without, last review I checked didn't find a difference in response time.

        • I might be wrong but with HDR, it's ~50ms.

  • What's the refresh rate on it?

  • +3

Just bought the 65 N7 for $1480 including delivery using the same code.

  • +1

Can’t really see any reviews for this online..
    Anyone got feedback on this?

  • +1

We have one of these at work.

Quality is good on the screen, the remote is cheap & nasty but easily fixed with a Logitech Harmony. Takes a bit longer to load than a Samsung but once on I’m happy with it.

For the price it’s a good buy !

    • How did you add TV to Logitech remote? Tried searching for my hisense TV on the mylogitech app but couldn't find 65n5 on the list.

      • +1

Can’t claim I did this personally but we have one & it works :) Sorry…

  • Does the N7 also have a generally faster chipset than the N5? Seems like everything isn't as smooth when you look at them in the shops.

  • -1

Oled tvs will become the same price in 2 years.

  • This is the ideal tv I am thinking imho.

Pity about the HDR but I guess I can live without it for now..

With the extra $1500-1600 I can get a GTX 1060 laptop and then some.

  • Anyone have experience with Bing Lee delivering tv panels to melb? Do they give courtesy calls with 2hr windows?

TGG in Mariribyong wasn’t able to price match but was able to go as low as $1490 pick up

Edit: this is for the 65n7.

  • That's a lot of TV for under $1700.

Anyone know how it handles netflix? Looking for an easy to use option for wife and kids. Can't decide between this and the 65" N7…

  • Just paid! Thanks OP

  • +1

couldn't resist, went to binglee to check out the picture quality and paid on the spot, they matched the ebay store with voucher price, hopefully delivered tomorrow

    • How was the picture quality comparatively to the competition?

      • To be objective…. not very good… but to each their own.. can't stand blurry panels (on fta) esp with motion.. rather save and get a kd75x8500e or qa75q7… price difference is huge but there's a reason cheap tellies are cheap.

        • i've got a sony 8500 in main room, this 75" is to replace a 63" 1080p plasma from 2010, quality is fine, being 4k was my main reason for upgrading.

        • Is the N7 much better or still same just HDR? I don't mind going down to 65" if the picture quality is substantially better. If I'm not going to notice or its a matter of preference then I won't bother. Larger is better for me definitely.

        • @AlienC: i just went from a 63 inch to the 75N5 , please don't sacrifice screen size. I didn't think 65 vs 75 would matter too much but the 75" has cemented a place in my heart that cant be replaced, few times today i just sat in my lounge looking at how big it is without even turning it on, just admiring it.

        • @sct911: when I saw them in store at jbhifi next to the other tv's a 65 and a 55 inch I told myself then and there that there is no way I can go back to a 65 inch now lol and never a 55 inch

Harvey Norman have them on Clearance for $1995.00

    https://www.harveynorman.com.au/hisense-75-n5-4k-ultra-hd-le…

I'm thinking for non-neara BingLee peoples to try haggle with HN JB, TGG etc.

75" is a massive screen, I'm waiting for 8k OLED at that size :)

  • Thanks OP, great deal!

  • +3

Funnily enough, was looking these TV's yesterday when our plasma died. Bought the 65" N7 for $1440 pick up with this code. Thanks OP and others that posted. Good deal.

    • N7 is a better buy.

  • I went into the Good Guys yesterday to compare the N5 75" with the N7 75". Walked out with the N7 for $2397. The picture just looked a lot better than the N5 so for a few $100 more I thought it was worth it.

BTW the store took it off the price for me but you can get $100 off on Good Guys online when you C&C.

    • I had the same experience N7 looked much better. Didn't walk out with the TV though.

    • Eh.. I paid around 2.5k for a Samsung 6100 a few days ago during the 20% off ebay sale. I at least trust that brand's after sales support more than Hisense.

  • This item is out of stock (according to ebay)

  • My parents have the 75M7000 and when I watch the NRL & Soccer on Fox Sports it has a judder to it (doesn’t flow smooth) so I have to turn on the motion smoothing to fix this but then when watching movies the movies look weird with motion on

How does everyone else with this TV watch sport

I’m guessing the N7 is the same TV as the 75M7000 just a different name now??

  • I bought the Hisense 65” N7 serise TV, couldn’t be more happier to have it.
Super vivid and smooth when Playing FIFA or 4K Movies.

  • +2

Just set up the 75n5, it's perfect, tested with Netflix 4k and I'm more than satisfied with the quality , happy with the savings over a 75n7

  • This Hisense N5 was $1998 at JB HiFi yesterday. It says it has HDR.

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-home-entertainment/hd-televisio…

    • JB has the wrong specs. For example, the N5 has a 3.5 star energy rating on all other sites. The N7 has 4.

      • Harvey Norman has it listed with HDR as well, i brought mine 2 weeks ago and my apple tv recons it can do HDR but yeah hisense isnt very helpful with them not having it on their website anymore

        • Yeah, no idea why Hisense doesn't list these TVs on their site. Does it say in your manual that this model has HDR and 3.5 or 4 star energy ratings?

        • @neil: doesnt say. but I do remember the energy rating been 3.5.

just double checked Harvey Normans website and it no longer advertises it as HDR

  • Anyone else matching this price?

  • So my 65" was delivered and it was the N6 instead of the N7.
Obviously mistakes happen with picking etc. but the odd thing was that even on the shipping notice it stated N6, pricing and all other details were correct.
Well I called them up and they'll send out an N7, but still, seems fishy, almost as if they were attempting to pull a shifty.

Once It's delivered, I'll see if I can get another 10% off for my trouble :)

  • +1

I just bought a ps4 pro and in video settings it says HDR supported on the 75n5
