Sounds pretty good to me, so could get 6x$9.90 ones @ DM's?

  • +6

    thats a really confusing deal,
you have to click away to find out where you can go,
and it vaguely says its only a return flight too!

  • +2

    Perth has 3 choices:

    Perth - Adelaide
    Perth - Bali

    So $15 per bottle x 6 = $90

Lots of destinations to pick from. Seems like a good deal.

      $57.60 for 6

      Bargain!

      • -7

That isnt on the list of accepted promotional lines

        • Stoneleigh Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

          Sure about that?

      • DM just jacked the price up :(

        • Put them up $20!! Poor form Dan Murphy's..

  • +8

So the bonus is really more like a mystery flight. You have to give a number of destinations and dates and they then choose where and when exactly.

    • Except:

"This promotional offer does not entitle the Participant to travel via a particular route, carrier or on a particular date and the Participant may be offered an alternative destination or travel date to the one requested."

For all we know, the 3 preferences are there so the organisers can laugh at our broken dreams. It could be more mysterious than expected. E'erybody in Sydney's goin' to Avalon…

It's a great bonus for those that would actually buy that wine or find a use for it. As long as you check your junk mail within 48 hours of them sending that important email (then what?!).

  • Stoneleigh Marlborough - $57.60 for 6!

  • +2

MY FRIEND ALSO HAS A FREE FLIGHT VOUCHER; CAN WE FLY TOGETHER?
No, vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with one another.

Pity you cant combine vouchers ….

    • +1

Yeh that's the worst part of the promo. If you want to fly together you have to pay for additional people to be added to the booking!

      • Wonder if you can try to book 2 people in the day/flight but separately.

        • +1

I suppose that could work but what if they book you on two different flights or different destinations

        • +12

@nightelves: Yeah too risky I reckon. If I did that the Mrs would get something great like Bali/Melbs and I would get Adelaide. Just like when we order the same meal and her always looks better.

        • +3

@OneMoreTune: I'm from a hospitality background and never allow my girlfriend/friends/family to order 2 of the same dish. Portion sizes are always off because they usually just cook the dish together.

        • +6

@darktiger: She's going to get a right spanking when I get home, she's in hospitality also but never told me that.

  • Is it flying Tiger?

    • +3

From FAQ choice of carrier, flight times and route is at the sole discretion of the supplier.

      • +2

That's a Tiger, or something else cheaper.

  • Do you get to choose dates of travel?

    • Could only find - Travel must be completed by 30 November 2018 and is dependent on available flight schedules. All flight applications have to be received at least 30 days before the first date of travel.

  • +42

Great deal for singles that went through a rough valentines day a couple of weeks ago. Get shitfaced on 6 bottles of wine and take a flight to an unfamiliar city.

    • funny - I know someone who works for pernod ricard who does exactly this every other weekend.

  • Anyone here actually going to go for it? I recently did a solo NZ trip and would love to go back TBH.

  • This section confuses me

WHY CAN’T I CHOOSE TRAVEL DATES IN THE SAME MONTH?

Chosen travel dates must be in different months and 30 days apart from one another. First chosen travel date must be at least 45 calendar days away from the date the form is posted.

HOW LONG CAN I STAY AT MY DESTINATION?

Maximum stay at destination is 30 days. Minimum stay at destination is 2 da

    • My understanding

Your first nominated date needs to be 45 days from the date you post the from way. If you post tonight it needs to be 45 days away. Tomorrow night 45 days from that date and so on.

The travel dates need to be 30 days apart, id assume from the end of one date to the start of the next.

2nd part pretty self explanatory i guess

      • How does the minimum stay work if your travel dates need to be 30 days apart?

        • 30 days between your 1st choice flight dates and 2nd choice flight dates (assuming your 1st choice are not available)

        • @gooddealmate:

          Gotcha thx

  • +4

So u can choose Christchurch Wellington and Auckland for guaranted trip to NZ for around $60?

    • You must be in Brisvegas.
Yeah that's how I would read it.
Guaranteed flight to somewhere in NZ.

      • +3

the table above is incorrect, wellington is available for Brisbane Sydney Melbourne Adelaide Canberra

        • Pretty much everywhere from east coast + Adelaide.
          Perth got screwed in this.

    • This promotional offer does not entitle the Participant to travel via a particular route, carrier or on a particular date and the Participant may be offered an alternative destination or travel date to the one requested.

    • Actually if you drink the wine it is free

  • Looks like a good deal. Will wait for some people to post back with results though. The likelihood of getting a Bali/NZ flight is low I assume.

    • Least in Perth, Bali is cheaper than the east most of the time!

  • +2

Reminds me of this old promotion, which some of us managed to change destinations (which is how I ended up getting to work so I could go see Tool in Melbs from Perth!)

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/85335

    • I remember that one…oh wait…!

    • That deal was much better. It was $90 per person, and included a night's accommodation, and you could fly together (so you'd get 2 nights). I'd gladly pay $30 more for the wine to add those features!

    • +3

I claimed this deal - best Oz bargain deal by far !

    • Yes! That's the one I was talking about. We got Sydney on Tiger.

    • i did that… was a great deal

  • This is more like a competition than a deal… there’s no guarantee to anything! Youre taking your chances here.

  • +3

Anyone know if buying online from Dan Murphy's will provide enough details straight away (i.e. receipt number) to register?

    • Well turns out yes, same number is on the tax invoice

  • Smells a little off to me…scam? Website differs to their usual one.
Anyone had any success with it yet?

    • Too soon, you have to mail the form to their office first

    • Way too much effort for a scam! I mean, I can't prove that, but it's got all sorts of crazy restrictive T+Cs and all sorts.

  • +1

NZ flights are a great deal if you have something to claim on TRS, up to $90 back for an individual, for $60 outlay.

  • Sounds too good to be true? Anyone seen any promotional material at the retailers?

    • +1

      Yes at BWS.

  • +5

Shame you can't fly with your partner or friend on the same plane and / or to the same place - a week in Bali by myself is only gonna end in drunken tattoos, at least one trip to the local BIMC for about 50 stitches, and a potential one minute spot on Nine News.

    • Couples are not target segment. Singles drink more.

  • Add anything for the voucher number on the homepage, put in any name and email and it will take you to a page where you can see how to put in your preferred flight options.

On their official Facebook page they are doing a month of $200 trip vouchers, one per day. Strange they don't have this one advertised yet… unless it's too new.

    • In order to claim your free return flight, you will need to print out your completed application form and post it together with the original purchase receipt (copies will not be accepted) showing the date, product description and store name to:

      Tower 1
      Level 23
      Bondi Junction
      520 Oxford Street

Cant find this postal address associated to anything Stoneleigh related on Google.

EDIT: So it's run entirely by an outsource company http://inspirewebsite.co.uk/

      • +1

I used to work in that office block. Huge rents. It would be a pretty expensive place to run a scam.

        • It costs money (so still a bet on success when it comes to scams) but I don't think Regus' co-working space on Level 23 is that expensive for a temporary operation (nor Servcorp's co-working space on Level 22 in Tower 2). The price is always going up though…

      • If i buy the wines dan Murphy online, the original receipt is the one they sent to your email?

        • Yes. I spoke to Inspire and they said a printout of the email would suffice.

  • Is their wine any good?

    • +9

Hope so I bought six of the bastards

      • Let us know if you get the trip k

    • It’s okay, for that price bracket there’s probably better out there but on a decent special it’s worth a look. With a promotion like this ide day it’s OZB worthy.

  • Stack this with cashrewards and 5% egiftcards and you’re laughing

  • +5

Claim one of 5 FREE mystery trips to Outback Australia *one way *in the boot of my car

Thanks, two six pack purchased and form posted. Hope this works!

    • Lucky dip out of Perth mate.
      Hope you like Adelaide :)

      • Wouldn't be my first choice but still wouldn't complain.

  • haha, imagine how gutted you'd be, getting sent to Canberra.

    • +1

you could have a laugh at barnaby joyce.

  • Bit the bullet. Really wonder if i will end up in Perth, Brisbane or Christchurch.

    • The cheapest one ☝️

  • Just wondering if you have to purchase bottles with the promo code or sticker on them or just any bottle of stoneleigh?

    • +1

Any bottle, no promotional stickers etc

  • +1

Submitted mine. Picked Wellington, Christchurch and Hobart.

  • does dan Murphy’s online click and collect through cash rewards qualify for this?

  • Shame that I live in Wellington now - would have chosen a bunch of east coast cities if the promo worked over here!

  • can it be purchased from any bottle shop and get it be purschased online?

  • +2

Reminds me of the Jacobs creek promo many moons ago (that was awesome)! With that one you could link to fly with a friend who also took the promo…still tempted to give it a go lol 😎

  • +1

    Stoneleigh Marlborough(danmurphys.com.au) - $57.60 for 6! Just went up to $77.70 Today wtf !

  • +1

    I have entered this competition.

I chose Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland.

I have never been to NZ.

If I actually win a return flight, I will report back from NZ!

  • anyone found an independent bottleshop selling cheaper?

  • when selecting number of nights (is it nights or calendar days)?

In the T&Cs, 12. All travel (departure and return) must be completed by 30 November 2018. The minimum stay is two (2) calendar days. For example, a passenger may depart on 12 July 2018 with a return on 13 July 2018. The maximum stay is 30 calendar days.

However, the minimum selection is 2 nights. In their example, there is only one night in the middle, which is not an option :(

It makes a difference to annual leave days required

    • It says nights on the form so I'm assuming nights is correct. But they've managed to take a simple concept and make it confusing.

  • +1

I think this is a great deal!

That said I've just read carefully through the terms and conditions of the promotion and wanted to share my take.

You can't link free flights together however you can pay to add a passenger to an itinerary. A cynical person may suggest the flight agent will share with Stoneleigh some of the revenue generated by adding passengers to itineraries.

Seems to be a lot of discretion for the flight agent, ie. flight dates requested aren't guarenteed.

All that said, I've requested the same three destinations and dates as my girlfriend. Fingers crossed! Good luck OBers!

    • Did the same - fingers crossed indeed!

  • DOES IT MATTER IF ITS THE SAME HOUSE HOLD?
