  • Lol @ the tags, great way of teaching people what states there are in australia

    • Actually,we have our warehouse in Australia.

      • Really? Where is it?

Your only contact details are for Hong Kong.

        • It is in NSW Australia

  • Are these OEM? Or are they just made by the same manufacturer?

    • It is an original battery.

Is this a joke? Not an 'Original' battery by any stretch, just a generic Chinese part that is cheaper all over the place

The battery shown on the store above is clearly different than the one you linked. The one on the store above has the same characteristics of an apple OEM battery, such as black text on black battery.

In my opinion, the reason that this type of false accusation can be harmful is that other people on OzBargain can also see that you are wrong, it's clearly not a generic battery. Since you're wrong, they may choose to purchase one. However, what they may not know is that there are also counterfeit "authentic" batteries. In general, when you take the battery to the Apple store to check the serial number, it will turn out to be a fake. However, the supplier can simply say that there was an accident and ask for the money to be refunded and the battery to be returned. The consumer has little power. The store will just pretend they didn't know it was an exact replica of an authentic battery.

Nonetheless, wothout checking the serial number at Apple, it's not easy to verify that it's not a real battery. It does not have the generic battery printing, it has the Apple genuine battery printing.

      • … The original poster claims to be a manufacturer. Their whole purpose is making cheap generic replacements, which is fine. Apple have used a number of battery providers over the years, all of which are enormous companies and certainly not these guys.

I linked any old one from ebay because without testing, all of these cheap generics are interchangeable. Just because it has black text and looks vaguely similar in the stock photo doesn't mean this is genuine by any stretch.

        • How do you know? Oh, that's right. Just a guess. In my opinion, your guess is characterised by a poor evaluation of the situation. The problem is that your bad guess may fool someone who realises that not everything you have said is true, since generic items do not look exactly like genuine Apple batteries, as these do. Generic means no brand name. These are not generic; they are either authentic or counterfeit.

No, not every product that a company sells must be manufactured by it, even if it claims that it manufactures products.

      • you are really a good storyteller.

    • Sorry, could you tell us your old battery model number?we will check for you, since it is more accurate to identify the battery you need by battery model number instead of laptop model number.
