  • Yes its a good 3D player, nice and slim.

Good price, I bought mine last June 2011 for $250 from Nunawading Sony store.
Spoke to the sales guy and "negotiated" the price as a price match.

(the current RRP was about $330 at the time i think)

See, like everything , if you wait long enough the price is better :(

    • Excellent negotiating skills there!

Guess its time to go see the good good Good Guys.

  • If you don't need the 3D compatibility, you can get a Sony BDP-s370 plus 4 blurays + HDMI cable for $199 + $15 delivery at Sanity.

I'm pretty happy with my S370.

yeh about that….why go backwards for an extra $1

The only difference between a S370 and a S470 is 3D support. If you don't have a 3D compatible TV then 3D is useless.

So some people would rather have an extra HDMI cable and 4 Blurays instead of a feature they can't use.

  • Having a ps3 is great u can also watch 3d movies on it

Note that this model does not support NTFS-formatted harddisks. So if you need a player for playing 1080p MKV files (most > 4GB in size), look elsewhere. This is exactly my only gripe with my S370 model.

    Otherwise a sensational BD player.

    • I don't have any MKVs, so I haven't tried playing them on my S370, but couldn't you stream them over the network connection?

  • Is there a hardware difference between this and the BDP-S370? (as in the Sanity deal)
Or is it just the 3D-enabled firmware?

    • I don't think BDP-S370 can be upgradable to play 3D blu-rays.
