"for those who need better coverage than what Vodafone provides)"

Are they still stinting on the bandwidth for voice calls so the person talking sounds as if they have just walked underwater after 2 minutes of talk?

I have yet to find an area where I can get Optus, but cannot get Vodafone or Telstra. I find they have the weakest coverage around the inner-Southern and metropolitan Adelaide region.

Can't say I've had any problems like that but I'm not in SA. Optus is head and shoulders above voda for country NSW I've found and only inferior to Telstra if you're going really remote.

    • In SA:
      Marree
      William Creek
      Oodna(bloody)datta

      No Telstra there :)

      • Haha funnily enough I did the "Oodnadatta(bloody)datta" track a little while ago and was surprised by Optus' coverage out there!

dodo, dodo, internet that fliiies. at 9.90 per month connect yourself with dodo!

FREE MODEM! (whispered) $24.90 delivery fee applies. Want to pay your bill? $2.50 processing fee applies. Want a copy of your bill? $2.20 applies. The supplied modem must be returned if your service is cancelled or $109 applies.

  • Better off signing with Optus itself. Optus Perks especially movies really saves you quite abit for avid movie go-er + unmetered Netflix/Spotify streaming.

    • I found there was no in-between plan. It's $30/mth for 3GB then 20GB for 40/mth. I didn't need that much data and can't really afford it either. This plan was the cheapest I could find around 5-6GB mark.

Dodo is trash. Their internet plans are so bad that we couldn't watch 480p Facebook videos. It was so bad that they wouldn't even buffer. Switched to Telstra and haven't had that issue since.

I have always lived withing 5km of any exchange and cannot agree with your experience unfortunately. I'm constantly getting 18mbps with my Dodo internet. 3rd year this year.

      • Same, been with Dodo just over 3 years and no problems whatsoever.

  • I thought Optus is the worst 4G coverage in Australia compare to Telstra and Vodafone. https://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/best…

    • Don't know but this is poor value unless Vodafone doesn't work in your location. Kogan (Vodafone) wipes the floor with these prices.

  • dodo still exists? Only used them back in 1998 for dial-up

    • What do you use now?
