I think you could claim TRS. Tax invoice usually uses price before discount and it's over $300.
Not sure how Ebay invoices would work but if its a normal tax invoice, you paid $297.57. You are only paying the tax on this amount so i don't see how you would claim tax back for a pre-discount price if you never paid that much for it in the first place.
Got the tax invoice. It shows $369 which you can definitely claim. It’s ebay giving you the discount NOT the seller

Remember that you can claim for $300 TOTAL PURCHASES from a business. Could always buy something else to bump it over the limit if comes in shy of $300

Agreed. When I tried on the Bose i felt dizzy the NC was that good. Sony didn't give me the same sensation.

comfort-wise, how does this compare with the QC35? Thanks!
Most reviews I’ve read say the QC35s are slightly more comfortable but the Sony have better sound.
The Bose have wider cups, so more air if you have big ears.
With these, your ears will touch the pads, so it will get warm after a while (not unbearable though). But it makes for a better seal also. With NC off, these isolate more noise than QC35.
I returned my 1000xm2 for the QC35ii. The Bose pair are much more comfortable and slightly lighter than the Sonys.
