These TV's are back in stock with Goodguys Ebay (albeit a higher price after a price jack but if you still really want to get these TVs and can set aside your scruples at the "GOODGUYS" pricejackings, it's the best deal to be had at this given point of time).
Still record breaking prices imho and the best prices compared to any other seller at this point.
Would have bought this if I did not already bought 1 from the previous deal for $859.40. Life of being an OZbargainer….

    • the KD55X9000E as well

    • And for some unknown reason they've put it up another $4… ??? Go home GG, you're drunk.

  • +1

Bit poor of TGG on this one… went in to pick up a espresso machine from a store that was 'out of stock' on the 55N6 earlier… in reality they had stock, selling at $799 …

  • +1
    • +1

Still showing out of stock locally even though they have boxes out on the floor at the one I went to…

      • +1

Yeah they tend to do that…. unfortunately….

  • +11

Pricejacking is not a deal. These were advertised as available but not orderable earlier today at a lower price.

    • +1

still the 2nd lowest price it ever has been at though, considering I thought I got a bargain getting the 55N7 at $859 just 2 weeks ago..

      • -7

Your local supermarket advertises your favourite ice cream at 50% off normal price for the first time, starting in 2 days. It hears it's popular so when you go into the supermarket 2 days later it's only 40% off normal price. "But it's never been cheaper," says the store manager. How do you feel? Do you buy the ice cream anyway?

        • +7

I would still buy the ice cream mate. Why wouldn't I buy even if the price increased by a percentage and I really want it? Rather buy it and enjoy it than be unhappy with how the world works. Unless I can find it cheaper elsewhere at that given point of time.

        • @Gav: indeed mate. Cheers. Have a great weekend.

  • +3

    Not the good guys

  • Did a catalogue/promo deal finish? Or are they being price-jacking jerks?

    • no idea. seems like it's the same price on the official goodguys website.

    • +4

Catalogues don't finish at 7pm so it's pricejacking.

      • +1

Next thing you know it's a price error!

        • now we are talking mate. pricing errors are bae

  • +1

Ban TGG eBay until they get their act together or don't put on the sale

    • +1

I'll not purchase from TGG again.

      Time wasters.

  • +1

    The Bad Guys

  • I wonder if they will fulfill previous orders haha

  • +2

    shit company

  • Why do you say it's a price jack? The 55n7 is $995 on the Good Guys Website, same as for Harvey Norman and Bing Lee. JB Hifi is $998 and Appliances Online is $1312.

TGG ebay page is $995 + 20% disc. Postage is $50.14 though

    • Due to the fact that earlier in the day, the same TVs were selling for less and the listing was ended soon after and now it's back up at a higher price. Possibly a human error as per usual with GoodGuys earlier and they corrected it, thus making quite an unreasonable pricejacking.

      • No it isn't.

        It is price jacking.

        Wake up!

        • Which I did acknowledge as price jacking mate. Pretty sure I'm awake. Just that it's a price jacking that will not affect my decision on buying the tv as it's still one of the lowest prices at this point. which I am cool with.

        • @Hunnypooh:

The 65N7 is on my shopping list. Not in any hurry, just for the internet. The price will go down further.

Were you price jacked with your purchase?

          Was your time wasted?

I'll purchase from a reputable seller. Less problems when Hisense again decide to vary their "in house 3 year warranty".

Worked in the industry. Firms like this treat their staff like their customers.

          Best of Luck!

        • @Dave Id: nah got the tv for much more and Been worth it. Not too fuss over any price jacking to be honest.

Didn’t feel like a waste of time

Yeah warranties are pretty much crap usually. Don’t really care about it.

Would have bought a Sony tv but their prices were not as low on the day I was purchasing unfortunately so just took a gamble with hisense and it has been decent so all good

Thanks and best of luck to yourself too

        • @Hunnypooh:

Been very happy with the 55" Hisense purchased several years ago when people were banging on about cheap Chinese TVs.

The two 50" purchased prior both had HDMI board problems, among other things.
I thank God that I did not purchase from my "local Good Guys".

Live in the bush and mainly purchase online, except groceries.
Not fussed if I don't get the best possible price, however dislike time wasters.

Currently have mind numbing problems with an Epson 1080p projector. Prolly finish up @ VCAT.

  • +5

Could almost tolerate the price-jacking on the 65n7, if not for the fact that they also slug you for a mandatory extra $50 by blatantly lying and marking the unit as sold out at every single store - compelling you to take the overpriced delivery option.

Poor form Good Guys. I'll save my cash (and maybe a bit extra) for whoever else can get a comparable price during the 20% off ebay "sale"…

    • +1

even the shipping is a scam - in fact this is a breach of ebays terms and conditions - which hey are never enforced for shit companies like this.

  • +2

    The Jacking Guys T_T

  • What was the price of the 55n7 prior to the sale?

Yeah $50 delivery charge is a bit rich

    • -1

      Was $955 earlier yesterday.

  • Don't forget an extra 1% off with Cashrewards.

  • -2

So even though it was $955, but now $995-20% today it is still cheaper….and yet people complain?

    • +1

Err no, it was actually $955 - 20% before the pricejack and was available instore without a delivery fee. That $82 price rise as part of the ebay "special" is why people are complaining.

Well that, and the fact that the 65" and 75" models both went up by $100 as part of the same ruse and had an essentially mandatory $50 delivery fee added as well.

I think most people are happy for retailers to charge whatever they want and to vote with their feet. It's the deception involved with pretending this is a 20% off the previous price that attracts the ire of consumers and the ACCC.

  • I just bought one at $846.14 inc postage.

I guarantee some other shop will sell it cheaper tomorrow.

  • +2

Tried dozens of times and the it wouldn't let me pay. Some error ebay support knew of and got me to contact GG's. Surprisingly they won't reply to my messages!

    • been doing that since early morning 9/3/18 - ignoring all calls and disconnecting.

  • +1

Just bought the N7 65 for $1406 delivered. Been waiting to buy it since ages. Thanks guys, would have bought the Sony 8500E if not for the oz bargain reviews of N7. Local dimming and 3 year warranty were the deciding factors for me.
    Cheers

    • +1

Enjoy the tv mate. Pictures might appear too red out of the box on the tv but that can be easily fixed

  • +1

Hunnypooh, thanks for updating everyone that the tv is back.

for those that actually DO manage to get C&C - congratulations! Do let us know WHERE you can C&C as I'm really curious.

Yes, they are in the stores but NO they do not seem to allow C&C very much at all on the eBay purchase. I've been looking for several weeks and believe me the only store that I could find that offered it trying regional NSW, and Brisbane, Sydney, Mel was Geelong!

Also - purely as an FYI - it's weird that when you actually go the GG site via the pink '20% off at GG using Pick20' and the select the TV's and HISENSE, they DON"T show these models!!!!

But on a generic eBay search, yes, it shows, and when search function for the model itself 55n7 on their eBay site, it comes up - but just not when you ask to see all Hisense TV's under their Entertainment

Go the Ozbargainers.! Am very happy with my $955 pre 20% off price yesterday.

    • You got a steal Mate! Got mine for $859 but definitely enjoying it. Enjoy your tv!

      • I know. But there's a long backstory to this!!! as to why had to be GG. Anyway, delighted you reposted for those that want a bargain. It is a great price but doubt many will get a C&C!

BTW - saw a comment about the Pictures appearing too red - can you explain?

        • Yeah for my tv, out of the box, I found that faces are too vibrantly red on the standard and natural picture mode so I had to adjust some settings to correct that.

  • So are these tv's any good? Thinking of slapping one out under the patio…just worried it won't be bright enough

  • Anyone's being sent or delivered yet?

  • Grrrr……

That's it. I'm never buying from Good Guys ebay ever again…

My order went to the Chatswood store, even though they never had any stock. I've called up throughout the week and today found out they won't get any delivered from Hisense for another 3 weeks. They did tell me which stores in the Sydney area do have stock. I rung up one of those stores to be told they can't access the order because it was sent to Chatswood. I have to request the Chatswood store do a WebTransfer, which involves cancelling their order and sending a new order to the other store.

I'm now waiting on their manager to approve it…. not happy.

I'll be making a complaint to their "Concierge" service if the manager doesn't come through. Or I might just log a Paypal dispute.

  • I finally got a response on ebay and got directed to most loval store that was dealing with fulfillment. They didn't have stock but now do a week later.
They organised a courier to pickup from local store and deliver to me on Tuesday next week.

Pretty sure they will honour your order, just a clusterf with stock and deliveries. Considering price its ok otherwise get a refund.

  • Chatswood is not my nearest store, in fact it's on the other side of Sydney from me.

I spoke to Chatswood, they are getting one couriered from the Artarmon store to Chatswood, and then couriered to me. So instead of a Sat delivery, it'll be next Monday or Tuesday, so now I have to take time off work. It's late anyway according to ebay (delivery was estimated to be Thurs/Fri this week).

    Still not happy.

    • Yep thats poor service. Mines 200km :-)
