thats a good deal. i only managed to get the tv for 1 year warranty for that price. but spent 2050 on the next model up and got the 46nx710
$2050 is a good price for the 46NX, mine was $2299 a few weeks ago.
Its not the next model up, the nx is the new/replacement model. When I bought mine, JB offered me both models at basically the same price, so I went for the NX. There isn't much in it, I just happened to like the look of blacks and colours of the NX better in store side by side to the HX.
The reason being that older models are often more expensive because design/component/manufacturing costs were higher when they were manufactured. So the units actually end up "owing" the seller more than a newer model. So all other things being equal (which they pretty much are), I'd always go for the newer model.
Sony do seem to be biting the bullet finally and running-out the old HX models now at good prices, but if you can get an NX for similar money, I'd get NX.
HX810 is the replacement for the HX800, not the NX710. The HX is 200hz refresh, as opposed to NX 100hz.
nx810 is the replacement for hx800?? please correct me if I'm wrong. Good price, considering paid Z5500 + PS3 120GB for 2,067 last year

Just tried the Sony Centre in Melbourne and they couldn't match the price I could get at JB on the 46nx710. I guess they know people are buying from them to get the PS3 now….
they said $2150 for just the tv and I would have to pick it up myself to get before Christmas.the redemption is fine, atleast it was when I did it about 2 years ago. Got the 40gb PS3 about 2-3 weeks after sending off for it. the wait was pretty hard, i wanted the damn ps3 on the spot lol.
If you buy at Sony store, you don't need to pay the delivery fee for the PS3. You just pick up on the spot.

This site is aimed at people trying to share bargains. It's not a place to come and brag about the deal that YOU got. There's no receipt or any proof to verify this.

Seriously i dont know what to tell you. I spent 2 hours on the phone with JBhifi/ thegoodguys/sony center getting this deal.
Like i said i didnt buy it because the TV was too big for my tv case. How can i have a receipt without buying the TV.
People who neg are just stupid. I try to post a deal that i managed to get after hard work and after Ricky at the sony center agreed to (so you dont have to do the hard work!!!!). Also no Ricky is not a friend of mine, he is the one that agreed to the price.
Also Ricky works in the sony center in world square, he agreed to the price. It doesnt mean other sony centers or bing lee or jb hifi will agree to it.
I posted this "deal" as it was $400 off the lowest price i could find. Some people are just jaded and dont even bother to ring the store ask for the guy and confirm they can do it for $2k. Please get off your lazy asses and do some work to find your bargains.
