  I booked with them a trip to Europe in August.
  I read this and I was extremely upset. Then I checked back the price and the flight i paid approx $1500 is now approx $2000.
  Well done Etihad!

  Looking at MEL-LHR return in September with the 10% works out at around $1,695. But with a transit in SYD on the way home. :(

  The discount doesn't come off taxes, but on one of the flights I checked it still worked out to be about 9.5% discount overall.

    Yeah the buggers! As per T&C's:

    The blackouts period for outbound travel between 30 June 2018 to 15 July 2018 and 14 December 2018 to 23 December 2018 and for inbound travel between 15 July 2018 to 29 July 2018, 22 September 2018 to 07 October 2018 and 15 December 2018 to 23 December 2018 will apply.

  Valid destinations in Europe? I was looking at visiting Tokyo so thanks OP and Etihad!

  BTW Sydney Opera House subscribers also have a promo with 10% off (received email today) but seems as if there's less origins and destinations. Code is OPERA18 and booked via https://www.etihad.com/soph in case OPs doesn't work.

  Called them yesterday to complain that they advertise in their blurb “Make the most of your journey by stopping over in Abu Dhabi, booking your hotel stay with Etihad Holidays”. And then in t&cs that no stopovers are allowed. Was told it is only a “suggestion “ huh!!! Am writing a letter to ombudsmen to complain about their advertising. Betcha nothing comes of it.
