    Any bargains?

    • Not really.. I had a look.

    • +3

      Considering my local record store is selling vinyl for $50+ per record, I'd say the buy 1 get 1 free vinyl deal is a bargain.

      Edit: Amazon has a pretty terrible range of records for sale

    • 2 copies of Earth, Wind & Fire - Greatest Hits Vol.1 for $39.99. The feeling this album will give you is priceless!

      https://www.amazon.com.au/Greatest-Hits-Wind-Fire-Earth/dp/B…

    • Ah, the kneejerk negs to a reasonable question. Game accessories are mostly third party junk, vinyl selection is terrible so a no from me.

      • Have to agree - not much on offer!

        Ah, the kneejerk negs to jv a reasonable question. Game accessories are mostly third party junk, vinyl selection is terrible so a no from me.

      If you buy one inane jv post, you get two!

      DOES THIS COME WITH PEDALS LOLOL

    Amazon AU is a joke.

    • Yeah it's a pretty crap promo TBH

    • It hasn't even launched. Once they get things up and running they'll do a proper launch, and they can easily pour 200million into marketing and blow away any competition.

    • Don't judge them too early,i remember the same scene in India when amazon launched.

      They slowly grows like a cancer but once they finish with their filed work(Setting up warehouses/their on product Delivery chain/acquiring fresh food stores) they will switch into onslaught mode.

      I think it's better to stay low, to avoid all fake reviews and slowly weed out the fake stores for 1-2 years and setup all other operational stuff.

  • Are the prices already 20% off because it all seems expensive. Gaming accessories that is.

    • No discount is applied at checkout.

  • Cheers OP - I'll upvote but I'd say you'll need to move the start date to at least 30th March as T&C's don't specify.

      I've tested before posing and it's working fine

      It's only the items listed if you follow the link on the landing page

      i.e. it's only Video Games Accessories that are listed here

      • Cheers mate, I thought everything sold by Amazon AU qualified. Too bad cause I was keen on a second Switch Pro controller.

    children books are pretty good. My kids wants me to buy the harry potter illustrated books and they have them listed at already competitive prices. The buy 2 get 1 free makes it even better.

  • And their website employs the same strategy as JB - you have to scroll through 500+ video titles, just 16 per page.

    Remember when we all thought Amazon AU was going to disrupt the Australian market?

    Title should mention it's select games and accessories.

    • Valid point - have updated title and added searchable descritiption

    Got 3 records to get free shipping so came to $62 all in, not too shabby. Thanks OP

    Some great vinyls hidden in there but unfortunately I already own them all!
    * Amy Winehouse
    * Massive Attack
    * Icehouse
    * Jamie XX
    * The War On Drugs
    * Baby Driver soundtrack
    * Pulp Fiction soundtrack
    * Stranger Things soundtrack

    • Where do you get your records?

      • +1

        eBay
        Discogs

      • +1

        Sometimes JB, Vinyl Destination or Discrepancy Records, but usually eBay.

      • Is this 2 for 1 deal make the vinyls cheaper than the other methods?

        • It is, if you can find records at a good price. I bought two albums for $25 delivered. There is no where else on the Internet that you can get decent albums delivered for $12.50 ea.

          You just have to do some digging/cross checking prices with other sources.

    • Picked up four albums, War on Drugs, Johnny Cash, Refused, Seaford Mods, the stumbled on new Neil Young The Visitor $13.

    • Just letting you know the plural of vinyl is vinyl. Really grates on the ears/eyes of long time record/vinyl collectors when people refer to them as "vinyls".

  • +3

    Just a heads up - from the miserly selection of a couple hundred - there are now "over 4000" I'm guessing 295 pages x 16 per page ~ 4720 records

    • +3

      Now showing 8000 results. 400 pages X 16 per page = 6400 records.
      Just checked out define by Edition "Box Sets" and it showing a whole lot of new stuff being added in the last day. Getting very dangerous.

      • +1

        This is getting very dangerous indeed hahaha

      • Yup - I just got Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon & The Division Bell for $55, stellar bargain!

        • I've added 2 records to cart but when i go to checkout the price stays the same. How did it work for you guys?

        • +1

          @astrotrain: yeah I had the same for a while which had me apprehensive, but it was after selecting address & payment method when the price finally updated (it updated before I hit the final purchase button).

          Also from the terms and conditions it looks like it's only limited to per transaction, so I'm tempted to go a 2nd round for other vinyls under a separate transaction :)

          EDIT: confirmed the above - price will update after selecting address & payment method, and offer can be redeemed again under separate transaction :)

        • @bassiveguitar:

          yep thanks for the heads up once i added my credit card details it came down. I've got like 20 albums in my cart! now begins the process of elimination as i dont think i can justify spending $400 in one go… or at least justify it to the mrs haha

        • @astrotrain: Good luck, if you're sent to the dog house just at least make sure you can take your vinyls and stereo! :D

  • Cheers OP and those who mentioned the catalogue had expanded. Been eyeing off the Shaun Of The Dead + Hot Fuzz soundtracks for ages and finally pulled the trigger.

  • I may have gone a little crazy, now to cool off and just chill. I did 3 seperate orders….
    But a a great way to start off my vinyl collection.

    Just a heads up. I ended up purchasing some vinyls today and the BOGOF promotion is still running.
