  Make new eBay account. Buy at least 10 items on account. Turn on promotional emails. Leave account alone, make another one.
  Wait ~12 months, you'll start getting targeted on your inactive accounts. It's what eBay wants us to do because it rewards this kind of behaviour.
  I use Keepass to store all my passwords (eBay and other accounts).

  Yep. Valid tax invoice required (means, inter alia, that the seller has to state its ABN). If the discount code takes the price you pay the seller for all items on the invoice(s) below $300, you will not be able to use the scheme*.

    Its not really about how much you "Paid", its about how much GST is paid. If you paid say $270 on a $300 item and the Govt get their 10% GST on the $300, then its above threshold and you're entitled to that refund on the GST via TRS. The GST invoice reflects this.
    
    Now if the seller is being fraudulent, then thats on them.

      @hellohello123: I wasted a lot of time with gift card. Once you redeem the card, it has a nil balance and the balance is viewable on your cart at checkout above enter code as something to tick. If the tick box is not there, Two things to try, if you used it on eBay.com you might have to use the remainder on the USA site. Otherwise try via pc or desktop view as it may not be viewable on mobile.
