very nice price but not so much for NSW I guess…

"If you live outside the Perth Metro or Western Australia please contact a friendly KOL staff member to discuss your delivery options."

i happened to grab one today (samsung spinpoint f4 ecogreen) for $99 from onlinecomputer at capitol square in sydney cbd today. their listed price is roughly $110 but they will gladly do $99. i have a receipt but too lazy to scan :P

edit oh wait this is an external drive

Picked up some of these from MSY for $93ea.
(I think they are $96 on the website… Not sure how I got it cheaper)

MSY is also available to more people as well… So can't really recommend this as a 'deal'.

    • $125 at msy…

      • +6

MSY accidentally sold me a USB3.0 at the price of a USB2.0 . Didn't realise until I got home and checked the box…

    • so what did you pick up?

    • +1

$96 for internal. This bargain is for an external.

    • like what they said, you've got it all mixed up. internal isn't the same as external.

Might have to append Perth/WA to the title as they don't seem to be all that keen on customers from other locations.

    • +1

      Yeah, for 3150 I'm getting…

"Sorry, we do not deliver to this address, Please contact us for a special delivery quote
Please note, if you are purchasing only products from our homewares category, then we can deliver them to anywhere in Western Australia for you. Delivery Fee applies."

That kind of sux because it says "Free shipping" on orders over $100, and I wanted 2 of these.

Its almost neg worthy… FREE SHIPPING*…(if you are within a 500m radius).

  • Can anyone confirm are these external drives USB 2.0 or 3.0?

    • USB 2.0, It's old stock, clearance price.

Just purchased one and it says it will be available for pickup from malaga on xmas day. Doubt they will be open though so I put in a special request to pickup any day from boxing day onwards.

Thanks for this, was about the purchase this HD for around $125-139 from MSY or PLE.

    • Would that 1tb fit in a ps3?

      • +1

        nope

      • Yeah like chans said, nope.
Just a bit of extra info though, with the 2.5" sata hard drives, the PS3 only supports the 9.3mm height ones, and they only make 1tb ones in 12.5mm for now.

Would neg if my account would allow.

      Lucky it doesn't allow then….
A deal should not be negged just because it doesn't suit you….There will be some in WA who will benefit from this.
I'm in Adelaide, I can't get it, but that doesn't mean it's a bad deal.

    • +1

It does welcome you to contact them for a price, surely it's not worthy of a negative..

    • +8

I'm in WA. If we all negged based on location, can you imagine? Just like I wouldn't mind some $29.95 beer from Melbourne listed today, but I can't get it. I guess you would neg that too?

    • +1

Lol would be a stupid reason to neg, which prob would get revoked, you don't see fluidtek get any negs, and they don't even ship at all.

      • LOL - Look at the Fluidtek posts in the past - there have been plenty…

        • Uh not recently, there have been negs, but not because they don't ship.

    • At most they're guilty of not putting the location in the title.

  • awesome got one, thanks

  • Crazy price for an external, and a Samsung branded one too.

  • +1

    sweet deal.

    pity about shipping/location.

I just bought a 2gb internal from Umart in bris for $96.

but this!!! take the HDD out and keep it.sell the enclosure on the bay for $20.

    excellent.

  • aww, would have got this..

Paid a IT guy to fix my computer he put in a new mobo and a HDD and charged $110 for a 1TB internal HDD. It costs $61 at MSY so little profit for him. Don't mind though as my computer needed fixing after the power surge and I wanted a new HDD..

why would you neg when you can take this price and go on a pricematch hunt lol, thats basically 50% of ozbargain activities anyway (because half the time good deals get sold out within a few minutes)

  • Ordered two myself and getting them delivered. They claim delivery by 24th so lets see how quick that is :) But hey even if it arrives after xmas still pretty good.

  • +1

The price itself deserves a positive vote but what I really liked about the site was the original price of $149 and sale price of $99.

If this was a ShoppingSquare deal, the original price of this drive would be like $399.99.

  • wonder if we can ask Office Works to match this?
may try this after work today

  • +2

Just got pricematched at Harvey Norman Brisbane (USB 2.0). Showed her a printout of the Kambos deal and mentioned the free shipping clause and she okayed it no probs. Fyi OW in Brisbane doesn't stock the Samsung Story drives.

  • Note: all gone? No longer on website.

  • noooooo rly?!?!? was gonna head down later today

  • ok i called canningvale, they had 12 left in the evening, 50 were sold

    cheers!

  • Crazy price

  • i paid 128 at OW, doh!
