[VIC] Ozito Power X Hedge Trimmer and 1.5ah Battery with Charger $50 @ Bunnings Hoppers Crossing

1150

Hey all. Saw this hedge trimmer kit at bunnings hoppers crossing, Vic on sale. Price not the same on website so could he here only. This kit is normally $129 I believe, and the trimmer skin in normally $89, so great value at this price.

I have this and it works great on trimming branches up to about 1.5cm thick.

Enjoy!

      Unlikely.

      •

        •

Great, I'm glad that is so.

Have one, great unit and recommend it.
At this price it’s a steal.

    • +1 vote

      Speaking of stealing…

Can we steal your message and put Brisbane/QLD store stock levels here?

      I got this so far:
      * Stafford: Plenty
      * Manly: half a dozen (high up)
      * Capalaba: None
      * Rothwell: 10+
      * Arundel: 5+
      * Browns Plains: 10+

      Anyone checked Oxley / Indooroopilly?

      •

Pretty sure I got the last one at Oxley

      •

        This is a great initiative.

        I’ll check Cannon Hill tomorrow.

        •

48 in stock at Cannon Hill but still on the pallet. Should be available tomorrow

        •

          @h00tz: thanks mate.

I ended up trying my luck this arvo and pre-paying one. But like you said they should be ready tomorrow.

      •

        Carseldine: 10+ as at 19/03/2018 Approx 8pm

Mansfield store has 5 left up the very top of the shelves. You need to ask for it. 20/3/2018 8:15pm

  •

This price is confirmed for NSW but is promotional so I can’t tell you when it will end.

    •

      Cool thanks!

Just bought one at Bunnings Melville for $50. Still have plenty of stock!!

    • +3 votes

      Wrong. $50. I bought one.

      Joondalup, 40+ units
      Whitfords, 20+ units
      Malaga, 20+ units
      Morley, 'two' (probably actually none)

Other stores NOTR don't have any

      •

Grabbed one from Joondalup at lunch, only saw a few on the shelf, nothing out front, the rest are probably up high, price wasn't advertised anywhere. Thx OP!

  •

    Confirmed $50 at Campbelltown 2560

  •

Just grabbed one. Thanks for posting!

  •

    Some links bunnings and Ozito

    • +1 vote

Incorrect product linked. The fineline or I/N of the OP’s picture is 3380871

      •

Looks like this is a discounted model replaced by 3381085 which comes with a 2.0Ah battery? Then probably the markdown is store specific.

  •

Anyone knows if the charger supports 100V ~ 240V or 230V only?

    • +7 votes

This is the manual that came inside the box when I bought the trimmer + 2.0ah battery with eco charger bundle.
This is the brochure that also came inside the box (which contradicts the above?)
This is the fast charger I bought separately.

      Hope this helps.

I was at hoppers crossing yesterday :(

I'll try my local bunnings…hopefully they have it as well

    •

      Does HC have one?

      • +1 vote

I picked one up around 6pm last night, from the HC store. There was a good 10 or 15 left.

They were stacked up at the front, where they were previously selling the Christmas stuff.

        •

Cheers for that. Will pay them a visit this arvo.

    $129 @ Rydalmere in sydney

    •

      That's appalling.

    •

      Register says $50

      •

I took it up to the register and scanned it $129
I would have bought it if it had scanned at $50!

        • +1 vote

You probably got the one with 2.0Ah battery. Discounted price is for 1.5Ah

        •

2.0ah one is still 129. At Rydalmere at 3pm, no one found.

          I'd rather get a Ryobi 18V One+.

        •

@terrywang: There's plenty (1.5Ah for $50) at Rydalmere. They're not on the shelf, but sitting on a trolley in the same aisle (gardening tools).

        •

@dcash: I asked the staff there twice and they said no such thing / promotion (so frustrated). I didn't remember seeing a trolley, maybe I wasn't paying much attention. Will check back tomorrow if I have time…

        • +1 vote

@terrywang: The trolley was down the end of the gardening tools aisle (the end closest to the centre of the store, not the front; and easily missed because it isn't near the Ozito section) and loaded up with them — so highly unlikely they sold them all. There was no mention of price but was indeed $50 at the register. Bunnings staff can, unfortunately, be a little hit and miss.

        •

          @dcash: Thanks, m8 ;-)

        •

@dcash: Got 1, there were 3-5 left at around 11am. They were in the next aisle to Ozito/Ryobi 18V One+ stuff aisle which is tricky to find. I failed to find it by myself again, happened to overhear someone else after the same thing, got lucky.

    •

Confirmed $50 at Rydalmere. Plenty of stock as of 11am.

    $50 @ Stafford

    •

      Cheers heading there today

    •

Thanks mate! No sign stating price but scans at 50. A LOT of stock.

  •

No luck at Bunnings Maribyrnong. I wonder if they could price match?

    •

Yeah they should price match. Just show them the photo of the discount and they normally match it. I did that once for another clearance item which had a didn't price from another store.

  •

Genuine question from an obvious non-gardener: can a reciprocal saw with a longish blade make-do as a hedge trimmer?

I only literally only have a couple of plants where you're meant to use a hedge trimmer, but more potential uses for a reciprocal saw (like small tree branches).

I have neither tool atm btw.

    • +2 votes

don't think so, the hedge trimmer has stationary blades that the reciprocating blades slice against. like scissors.

    •

Not really. I have both and basically the reciprocating saw will saw wood and the hedge trimmer will snip leaves and thin twigs. The reciprocating saw is worth getting.

Can this be used as anti home invasion trimmer? Helps to justify with wife on the purchase lol

  •

Bunnings in SA were willing to match the last ozito product that popped up on ozbargain. They just need to see a photo with the price and need to know which store in which state had the price.

    •

Which Bunnings did you go to?

      •

Churchill road prospect. Last time I went there they mentioned a few other ozBargainers had already done the same thing.

  •

Belmont NSW $50. only 2 left.

  •

    wheres the damn receipt? anyone?

Different stock number as mentioned above, would not work.

Get them to scan it. Mine was marked 129 but scanned at 50

    •

      Which store?

    •

      Campbelltown? How many left?

      •

Dunno 10 I guess. They weren't marked at $50 so only people reading this post would know they were cheap

      •

I'm here atm. 2 on display I grab 1. The only one left is on the higher shelf with the yellow corner. Don't take the one with grey corner as it is with 2.0Ah battery and is full price.

  • +2 votes

Register scans 3380871 as $50 regardless of shelf or ticket price. As stated above, I have no knowledge of when this promo pricing will end.

There is about 20 left at the Stafford store. There is heaps left because it's not on the normal location with all the other trimmers, plus there is not $50 price label, but it did scan as $50.

  •

Lady I spoke to says it will show as $99 on all store systems? Am confused.

    •

Head down the road to auburn/ lidcombe as they still have stock (at least as of 4pm)
Listed at $50 So you won't have to argue =)

      •

Got one at lidcombe a few hours ago. They had about 10 left

        Thanks op.

    •

You are not to far from Auburn store. Make sure grab the yellow corner labelled box.
